[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I successfully breastfed my baby while wearing the Philips Avent nipple shield and felt no pain! The nipple shield stayed in place the entire feed even after my baby pulled away. The shield is comfortable to wear and easy to put on. I liked that I could sterilize the nipple shields in the microwave before I used them. It took 10 minutes to sterilize two shields and to wait for them to cool down. I preferred to hand wash the nipple shields. The carrying case made it easy to transport and the case fits in all my bags and even my coat pocket. I received these nipple shields from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the arrival of my 4th child, I thought I had everything nailed down. I'd been through it all from preemies to colicky babies to twins. However, nursing did not come easily to this baby and my nipples were bruised, cracked and bleeding when she was just 3 days old. I was reluctant to try nipple shields as I'd heard that they can be hard for the baby to adapt to, and hard to return to nursing after the shields. However, I received the Avent nipple shields as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel, and was pleasantly surprised by how effective and helpful they were. They are very thin and flexible, however nursing because so much less painful after using them. My baby didn't seem to notice a difference at all, and it allowed me a bit of time to let my nipples heal before going back to regular feeding. While I only nurse at home these days, I did like the travel case, which would be easy to throw in my purse and go. I recommend the Avent nipple shields to any new mom who is needs a bit of extra help while nursing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like these better than the shields I was using previously purchased per my lactations consultant's recommendation. Those had a correct top/bottom and I feel that just complicates things. These are shaped like a butterfly. I only wish the base of the shields were a little wider on the sides where the "wings" aren't present. They stay on my breasts fine, and my baby doesn't seem to hate it. He doesn't really like it, but I find that all shields are kind of awkward for him. I use a size L 30mm flanges to pump, and these shields in the medium size fit (barely but it did). I really like the case. One shield "sticks" to the top, and one to the bottom. I prefer this over stacking them inside the case. Sterilizing directions are clearly marked. Lid and bottom stay attached when you open it. I don't know how many times I've dropped the lid of my other shields while trying to open it with one hand. I feel like every baby is different so it's hard to say what will work for each baby. But if you need breast shields, these are a solid option. And I'd also like to commend you, mama, for your efforts to breastfeed your baby. I know it's not easy. I received these shields through the Stellar Products Testing Panel and these are my own honest thoughts and opinions.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the nipple shields though the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Unfortunately the size 21(medium) was too small and that I needed the larger size. I really like the case that the nipple shields come in. This makes it really easy to throw in the diaper bag and travel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These butterfly shaped silicone nipple shields were a God-send for my sore breasts. They didn't affect babies latch and helped me feel comfortable for longer. The shape is nice, as it doesn't "suction cup" my breasts like I've experienced with other, round shields. This is a great tool to have on hand for nursing moms. I received these free as part of the Stellar Testing Panel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received his product through the Stellar Product testing panel! We've enjoyed using these nipple shields. We don't need them very often anymore. But we breast and bottle feed so sometimes my 2month olds latch gets lazy and was causing me some pain. He did very well with these shields! I wasn't a big fan of the carrying case though. I didn't even realize it was a case to keep at first because I honestly thought it was packaging. I would like the case more if it were better quality and the measuring lines on the case for water for sanitizing were easier to read.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried these Philips Avent Nipple Shields with my 3 month old twins who have difficulty transferring milk from the breast. These nipple shields are made of a thin silicone similar to other nipple shields. The main difference with these is that they have a notch cut out at both the top and bottom where the baby's nose and chin go. The notches make the nipple shield look more rectangular than round. My twins were able to latch on easily to the nipple shield and I felt that the shield protected my nipple well. I liked the notches because I felt my babies had their chin and nose on my skin rather than the shield. They were comfortable for both me and my babies. I really liked the carrying case. It was great to have something to put them in so I could easily put them in my diaper bag. These nipple shields were also easy to clean. I washed them with soap and water and then steamed them in a microwave steam bag which was very easy. Overall I liked these nipple shields and case but besides the 2 notches they are very similar to other nipple shields I have tried. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me try this nipple shield.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been breastfeeding for about 6 months and have struggled on and off with my baby's latch. My let down is not fast enough compared to a bottle so he can be a bit aggressive on the nipple. Over time, this has caused some significant nipple soreness to the point my toes curl! I have always wanted to try a nipple shield to see if this will help my nipples heal and hope that maybe he will enjoy breastfeeding again. After trying the Avent nipple shields we didn't have much success. I found them to rub against my nipple causing even more pain/discomfort. We haven't given up yet and will continue to incorporate these nipple shields into our breastfeeding sessions and hope that the discomfort will lessen over time. I do love the carrying/sanitizing case, I have used this in the microwave and it works great! Saves so much time compared to watching it boil in a pot. I have received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this item to test as a part of the stellar product testing panel. I have 3 kids and have struggled with breastfeeding with all 3. My 3rd has been the easiest (on me) and I've been able to go the longest. I was hoping these would provide some relief for me, but they just do not. Unfortunately items that are more of a universal fit, so not work for me (at a 36ddd). I was not able to successfully make these work, but think they could work for somebody with a smaller chest.
