I purchased this trimmer as a inexpensive set I could throw in a overnight bag and not have to lug around my more expensive trimmer. After using this trimmer it replaced my expensive set. It is more ergonomic, and very intuitive to use(for the first time my cheek bone lines and side burns came out perfectly even). I was concerned about the single"AA" battery and my heavy beard--no problems, plenty of power. It's also nice when the battery goes dead just throw in a new one and keep going(no waiting to recharge). The included accessories work great, and even comes with a battery. I highly recommend this little inexpensive trimmer for any man with a beard and/or a mustache.
Very easy to use, intuitive and worked like a charm, according to the men in my household. No problems whatsoever. They liked that it cut cleanly at their selected length (using the spacers) without tugging or pulling on facial hair. It cleans easily as well.
I started getting dark coarse sporadic hair on my top lip and chin after having my first child. This has been amazing with shaving those areas and making it smooth.Another attachment I use to shave my arms and also the peach fuzz on the nape of my neck and cheeks (the kind on my face ;). I highly recommend this for those sort of things!!
I purchased it to trim my sideburns, trim around my ears and the fine hair on the back of my neck below the hair line.Works exactly as I hoped it would. The attachments allow me to trim my sideburns without going down to the skin.Just what I was looking for.Remove the attachment and get a skin close trimmer for the back of the neck.
This is the newer model of a previous one I had, and I absolutely love these things. I have a full beard and mustache, and this cuts so well that I can actually use it as a precision shaver. It gets closer than my electric shaver does. This model improves upon the previous one in the on-off switch. With the old one, you twisted the grip to a certain spot to turn it on or off, or to change the batteries. This model switches that for a simple slide switch, which is much easier to use.And for the price, it actually lasts quite a while. My previous one lasted nearly 4 years before the head stopped working (the motor worked, but wouldn't turn the piece inside the head when it was attached). But it got daily use for most of 4 years, and did a great job. No complaints whatsoever.
I have had a quite a few of these types of trimmers in my day. One drop and they go bye bye. Micro touch crap, etc... This trimmer was purchased on June 7, 2018.For 15 bucks I figured what do I have to lose? I'll use it till it breaks and get a new one. Well it's still going strong after 21 months.I use it almost 4 times a week (Beard, Ears, Nose, Eyebrows) and I have only replaced the battery once. I dropped it a few times already and it's still in one piece. The attachments you normally get with one of these types of devices are useless. Not the case with this one. The comb is great for a quick eyebrow trim or cleaning up around the ears. The foil attachment was a joke at first. I thought why did they even put this in. It's actually pretty great. I use it to clean up around the beard when doing a "drive by shave" when running late.Over all it's pretty solid. I give it 5 stars for those reasons.
For 15 dollars or so this is a very useful little beard trimmer. It only comes with 3 length adjustment combs so you don't get a ton of beard length options but these are fine for 95% of men. Considering the razor only runs on a single AA battery it has a surprisingly powerful motor. I didn't have much trouble trimming my beard from nearly a month of growth (about 3/4") down to about 1/4" length using the middle size comb. Of course it took a number of passes to get all the whiskers a uniform length, but that's typical for every trimmer made - especially when you start out so long.Using just the bare trimmer head it does a reasonable job cutting in and making the edges straight and even. The head is compact enough that shaping my beard is pretty effective. The bare trimmer tines are medium fineness meaning they aren't super close together, or very coarsely spaced, either. I usually use the bare trimmer head to shave around the rest of my face because I like a bit of a "5 o'clock shadow" look. Finer tines would be more effective for this application, but theGoStyler did a pretty good job anyway.I briefly tried the foil shaver attachment and it worked OK, I guess. I'm not a big fan of these on any razor as they take forever to get a close shave and you end up with irritation from repeated passes over your face. But it did work pretty well to shave close to the outline of my facial hair.Battery life is OK, I got about 3 or 4 uses before the alkaline battery needed replacing. One star off for not even including a cheap pouch to store everything in. It's inevitable pieces will be lost without a pouch. I ended up putting everything in a small Ziploc, but that's pretty inelegant. But overall this is a great shaver.**** RECOMMENDED! - 4 STAR ****
I got this for carefree travel since it uses AA batteries found everywhere and passes in carry on whereas scissors do not. I am pleasantly surprised at the medium long beard trimming ability using the longest comb. And the battery life is phenomenal using it 2x week for few months now. The only drawback is that the foil head is pretty much useless and a longer comb would be required for safely trimming a longer beard. Cutting is very good, too. No pulling for me.
So as woman looking for a trimmer there's just not a lot of options under $30 in women's section and most of them have negative reviews! So I went with this based on all positive reviews. If men love this than it was worth a chance. I know I know I'm using it for something it's not intended for and I can say it does pinch a bit. So ladies keep looking ;)
I purchased this trimmer in December of 2016. I planned on using it to trim my hairline, but did not. It sat in my closet for a few months. I eventually started using it to trim some unsightly nose hairs - still learning how to be beautiful, gimme a break.I'd say I put four months of once weekly use into this thing. Very light use. Then, it died on me! Tried multiple fresh batteries, no go.I didn't get it wet, didn't drop it, etc. Nothing.Great trimmer, but it's a risk for breaking down on ya. Definitely get the warranty, otherwise it is not worth it. I don't feel I got my $20 worth.
