This is my second experience with philips shaving machines. Both were very good . I liked most collection system of the shaved hair. The precision were good but I had to do cut multiple times to get the desired hair length

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Norelco Beard Trimmer Series 7000 for a few weeks now, and it's honestly one of my favorite trimmers. I've tried a handful of different brands over the years with a variety of different price points, but I'm really impressed with this one mostly for the consistency in its cut. What initially attracted me to this model though was the hair collector, a feature that my wife very much appreciates in regards to our bathroom vanity! Though a simple concept, I think it's something that most modern beard trimmers should utilize. Battery life so far has seemed solid and the quick charge feature is something I've really needed in a pinch (my past trimmers never seem to have enough battery power when needed and take forever to charge). I also really appreciated that a travel bag was included to fit the trimmer, the attachments, and the stand without taking up much room. I will say that the first time I tried to remove the hair collector attachment, it was so stiff that I thought I might break it when pulling it off. It's just a piece of plastic, and though a helpful piece of plastic, I'm a bit afraid that one of the notches that hold it on may snap one day and that feature will be useless. I wish it was a bit sturdier, and it has become easier to remove with time, but this is an extremely minor criticism. Otherwise, I'm really happy with everything about this trimmer and highly recommend it to others!

I kept using my old unit because of the vacuum feature so when I saw they brought that back, I knew it was time to replace my old unit whose blades kept popping off every 4 months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cuts great. Excellent battery life. Adjustable guard is easy to remove and adjusts flawlessly. Only complaint is that it doesnt have the vacuum feature with removable bin like my old 7000 series did.

Gives a great shave several cutter heads but doesn't have the vacuum capability of my previous Norelco. I do appreciate the waterproof feature, which is a balance, a tradeoff if you will, for the vacuum feature my previous Norelco had.

The comb guard design completely prevents this trimmer from working on softer facial hair. Because the thick guard frame creates a thick plastic barrier, the guard flattens hair against the skin before it can reach the blades. For me, at settings above 1 mm, it missed almost every hair. Unless you have stiff, coarse stubble that stands straight up, this guard will not trim effectively. Very disappointing performance. I am returning this item and hope Philips reaches out to let me test the Series 5000 BT5775 instead, as its open-prong design looks like it actually allows soft hair to hit the blades directly.
