[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor is fabulous. I went from a 25 year old 800x Norelco to this. It made a huge difference in my shave. My previous razor worked well for pre shave. Then I woukd hnd shave in the shower for a very close shave. I no longer have to to that. This razor gets so close and smooth. The cradle for cleaning works well and the charging stand works great. Overall Im super happy with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had many Norelco shavers throughtout the years but the Series 8000 gives me the closest shave yet. I do not use the apps and all the extra fancy stuff, but they are a nice to have. I particular like that the trimmer is not a separate attachment; however, it does perform as well as my other shaver trimmers and the nose trimmer not so great either.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd or 4th electric razor. It is by far the best that I have ever had. It's very close to an actual razor shave. I'm entirely satisfied with the shave quality, and I'm happy that I chose this razor for purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a Phillips electric razor for many years (model AT880) and it took some time to get used to the new configuration of the heads. The rotating heads are much more flexible and made shaving more comfortable. The wider head spacing made for a learning curve to use on my upper lip area.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best shave I've found using an electric razor. Unfortunately, the trimmer doesn't work as well as the one on my last (much older) razor from Philips. So I ordered a stand-alone detail trimmer from another manufacturer like barbers use. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality and close shave. It also shaves 2-3 days of growth with ease and is a huge upgrade in that respect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how quiet this shaver is compared to the Braun shaver I've used for years, it's remarkable how much less noise it produces. The Braun did provide a slightly closer shave but it's not significant enough to worry about. The trimmer on the Phillips shaver could be better but it's adequate. I do like the ease of cleaning this shaver. Time will tell how it will hold up but for now I'm satisfied with the purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this razor because I was tired of what's involved in straight razor shaving. This might be less mess but the shave is in now way as close or precise. I have to go over areas several times and it still misses hairs. The feel of the shaver is cheap. I would not recomend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finding the "odd" blade structure difficult to get used to compared to my beloved 15 years old "triple-header." (Could no longer find replacement blades.) Also, ergonomically, new model requires much more dexterity, and feels cheaper than its predecessor. Even the sideburn trimmer unfurls at an odd angle compared to its predecessor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shaves very good. The razor does not glide well. My old 9000 was much better. This new razor also stop working often when turn sideways, this is very very annoying. I'm sorry I just didn't buy new blades for my old 9000.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The electric razor does a good, quick job of cutting facial hair. The shave is close as expected. However, the shave, in my opinion, is no better than the Norelco 8000 series I had before. In addition, the blades have a perimeter of plastic around the shaving head that makes moving the blades under the nose difficult. I have to followup with a safety razor to get a better shave. The Norelco 8000 had no border so getting to hard-to-reach places was easy. Overall the razor is decent but I would probably purchase a more economical Norelco in the future.
