Philips Norelco Genuine Shaving Heads For Shaver Series 5000 Shavers, SH50/52

Product arrived in prime condition with the only complaint, that is on Norelco's part is that the tamper resistant package allows the product inside the box to shift once the top flat is cut to open it and while it did not happen to me, the cutters and combs COULD have separated, and since they are mated to each other COULD have been a problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Grandfather was a Norelco shaver user, He said that they work really good, He told Me that back in the "60s". He lived in Austria. When I started shaving I tried blades I could only use the blades once or twice maximum or my skin would be hamburger. I got a Norelco and never went back. I have three Norelcos right now but one of them my Baby dropped it and damaged it, the other (My Favorite of all time) had toe connection socket were out and the replacement is unavailable now. My new Shaver a i9000 ultra is GREAT the shave seems better then my old favorite an S9731 hopefully it stays that way when its a little older.

As I mentioned, it was easy to find and after trying them out I found the quality to be very good. I only gave a four on the price because the site did not tell me about the extra charge on top of the razor heads because I didn't order at least $35 worth of merchandise. If I would have known then I probably would have ordered something else. Other than that everything went great. And it was worth it to get them overnight, so it was a small price to pay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These new blade refills don't seem to work any better than the old ones, which means that they don't trim any closer. Also, one of the new blades “bites” me. No blood drawn, but pretty ouchie and a down grade rather than an upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not able to replace the refill heads and blades. I am now looking for a repair shop see what was wrong with the replacement parts.

You sent me a new shaver with these HQ50 blades which do not give me as close a shave as the old HQ8 blades. I waited this long to review this product in order to give it time to work. It has not!! I am very disappointed in Philips Norelco.

I did not receive the product I ordered. I needed a replacement shaving head for a 5000 series Norelco, Instead I received an SH50. What do I do? Do I take it to my local Walmart? James Freeman

The shaver I bought these blades for is older, but the head are compatible. However, the shave experience was terrible! The blades were pulling whiskers out rather than cutting them, especially on neck areas. I got horrible razor burn from these heads. I boiught the brand name replacement because of the excellent quality, so I'm not sure why my experience was bad. I do have another electric shaver I use, so it is not a matter of not being used to shaving with one.
