Exactly what I expected. Came quickly. Does the job.
The simplicity and end results absolutely shocked me! Great groomer for my beard, after got done with that even used them to work a nice fade in on my hair effortlessly as can be! The attachments on this thing are out of this world, adaptable to every need, even your nose! All you men out there go ahead and get this while they have it trust me youll be as satisfied as me
This is the best trimmer from Philips Norelco yet.Ive had several over the years.A number of reviews describe all the good details. One I like particularly is the set length heads/attachments.Its an ingenious stroke of engineering - simplification of the previous slide adjustments, which never lasted very long and were prone to accidental change (as my previous trimmers aged, I had to use electrical tape, for example, to hold the setting). This new design is an immense improvement.
I bought this to shave the back/sides/undercut of my head between haircuts because my hair grows super fast. This works great. Unlike my other (name brand) corded trimmer, this is actually lightweight and easy to hold in my small hands. After the first charge, I have yet to recharge it. I'm super happy.
This is replacing a forty year old clipper set Ive been using as a daily groomer for more than a decade so I may be biased.Absolutely great performance and so much easier to use. That said, it shares the same annoyance as what I assume is a common long standing weakness in design all these appliances share since my old classic is exactly the same.Hair clippings easily get inside the lubricated activating mechanism that all attachments rely on.Why is there always a gap between attachment and unit? It makes cleaning both a pain and a constant necessity. At least this modern unit has the sense to seal off the rest of the electronics from the hair mess so I guess its not really exactly the same. I am still very satisfied with my purchase, though.
Ive been shaving my head using electric barbershop style machine on 0 size for 20 yrs. I never used a straight blade on my head only machine every 2 weeks. So hair was always short and machine impossible to properly clean and got nasty with using oil . Oil stopped helping eventually. Clipper blades fell out of alignment with those 2 screws.Got this multi groomer, done and done! No oil , easy brush clean, its quiet , nice to have a battery. I do it at home only, dont travel with it as I dont need to. Do my head, face and eye brows in one shot. 5-10 min and done. Love it and had no idea these multi groomers could do so well. Most worthwhile purchase Ive made since I can remember.
Solid trimmer, well constructed, and feels good in your hand. Problem, however, is that there is no option to go beyond 16mm? I'm growing a pretty narly COVID beard here and while I'm trying to trim it up, I don't want to trim it all away! Even if Norelco sold larger trimmers separately that would be cool, but that's not even an option at this point. I also wish there were more in between sizes. Going from 16 to 12 is a bit drastic. Decent trimmer otherwise.
This shaved well enough. As with others, not a fan of the tons of guards (which somehow didn't include the size I wanted, but hey, only off by 1mm), but I can deal with that. Battery life was great; I have only charged this thing twice since I purchased it last March. However, this past week it died, I charged it... and it's still dead; I've only had this thing for 10 months and now I have to get another shaver. Not cool.
I thoroughly enjoyed using this to trim my beard up until recently. I have had the trimmer for less than a year and it will no longer turn on. Ive made sure there is no hair stuck anywhere on it and have charged it fully. The light turns on like its charging but the thing still wont turn on. It works well when it turns on however its very annoying that it would just stop working so quickly.
I tried using this trimmer on some of the more sensative areas and even when trying different guards it kept cutting my skin. BIG PROBLEM!I am returning it and will look into getting a Wahl trimmer. I have an old Wahl one and it has never cut my skin. Be very careful with this Norelco unit!
