I feel the Norelco 3100 would be more than adequate for the average male. I've owned several Norelco rechargeable shavers over the past 30 years. I think I'll like the Norelco 3100 best of all. My review/feedback comes from my neighbor. After he saw the razor and I told him I was doing a review on it, he wanted to try it out. Luckily, he hadn't shaved yet. The three floating rotary heads work very well, and the shave is close enough for me. It takes me only two minutes to shave. I do not need to use shaving cream and aftershave lotion. There is a shaver head replacement indicator. The shaver head needs to be replaced approximately once a year. There is also a trimer attachment. It is recommended to clean the shaver under running water. I am very happy with this electric shaver. I will recommend it to all my friends.

This is my second identical trimmer, very disappointed. I've only had this trimmer for a month and already not doing its job, will not cut nose hairs, just bends them, my old trimmer does better it's over a year old, I have to revert to my nose scissors. Very disappointed. NOT HAPPY...

It has a nice blade protective cover when not in use and the power cord is not big and bulky. To clean, you just pop the razor top off and empty, then rinse the razor top in hot water. It is hard for me to rate this right now given the fact they ask you give it at least 21 days and guarantee you will end up liking it. So I am rating a 3 as I am in between on how to rate. If you are purchasing – no harm as you can get your money back if you don't end up liking it.

I knew about this shaver because I had one before so I knew what I was getting. Since retirement I am price sensitive and not a picky shaver but with a heavy beard. This shaver seems to have a somewhat slow blade speed meaning it can be uncomfortable to my skin sometimes and noisier than more expensive models. That said, it is good quality and gets the job done. My old one lasted several years with no maintenance whatsoever (despite the fact that they recommend frequent cleaning and lubricating plus new heads every year). All I did was rinse the chamber under the heads and the heads themselves then leave the head cover up for air drying. Then after 3 years or so (I think) I bought a new one. If the new head reminder light comes on, hold the power button down for 5 seconds or until it goes out. I didn't really need to replace it since the old one still worked but replace it on principle.

I used to own a Philips trimmer model no.NT1150/10. I used it for nearly 2 years. After it stopped working recently, I looked online and various other stores for a replacement. Since a similar model was not available, I bought the above product online. I hav found that the product does not trim the hair on my ear lobes the way I want. You will have to try holding the product at various angles just to trim the hair on your ear lobes! Even then, it does not really give a real close trim. I don't find the rotary trimmer user friendly at all in comaprison to the model NT1150/10

The previous version of this product lasted me for 5 years. In comparison I have now had 2 of these and both have not worked well at all. The first one stopped working after less than 3 months and the replacement I was sent did not work straight from the package. While I have loved your products in the past I cannot say that I do right now.
