I had a Quip but wasn't very satisfied with it.This is a much better option.I like that I can recharge this and the battery lasts a long long time.I feel this works much better and gets my teeth much cleaner.I understand why this has so many good reviews.I'm a big fan.
I was expecting something a little larger so I was pleasantly surprised that it's smaller than I thought. Easy to pack, easy to charge, and I love the notification every 30 seconds to remind me to brush each section thoroughly.Great product for the price.
I have used a self-contained battery powered toothbrush for years. When my preferred manufacturer went out of business, I had to look for a new product. The first one I bought was just too rough for my average sensitivity mouth.I next tried the PHILIPS Sonicare. It cleans thoroughly but does not leave my gums feeling battered.
I saw some bad reviews and thought hard about getting it but I actually really liked it. I still havent had to charge it and my teeth feels so clean. I just dont like when I take it out of my mouth the toothpaste goes everywhere but I think thats understandable.
Love the size, color options, an travel ability. There are several misses, however.. brushing strength is weak at best, not at all comparable to the Soniccares (ie. HX6462/08) we've come to know and love. no interchangeable brushes with standard sonicare brushes (see pics).although they fit, it's not a typical standard fit of a traditional Sonicare. pulling the toothbrush from the case is not intuitive. overall brush length is a wee bit short for those with larger handsI would have welcomed charging every few days over more power. This is just a notch up a standard manual toothbrush, no way near the HX series Sonicare from a cleaning and convenience standpoint.
Im going to start this review by telling you that I have been using Sonicare toothbrushes for a decade. They are a fantastic product. This is a Sonicare toothbrush in name only. It clearly was created to compete with the Quip toothbrush and they are both in fact equally disappointing.Issue here is that the handle vibrates but very little of that force is transmitted to the brush head. A real Sonicare toothbrush is essentially the opposite. The handle doesnt vibrate much but the brush head Sonicates the hell out of your teeth. Its vibrating bliss for your teeth and gums.If you are buying this toothbrush for home use, spend a little more money and get a real Sonicare toothbrush. If you are buying this for travel purposes, either pack your real sonicare toothbrush which will take up a little more space or just buy a manual toothbrush. This item is nothing more than a glorified $30-40 manual toothbrush
This toothbrush DIED on me after only 40 days. Worked OK after 2 recharge cycles, and then one day, the toothbrush died. The "white light" was on, but the whole thing would not start. Piece of crap from Phillips, not what I would have expected from them.
Purchased these for travel and while the size and travel case are great for that, the toothbrush itself is useless as an electric toothbrush. For reference my regular toothbrush is a cheap Aquasonic that costs less than this, but not great for travel, so I am not comparing this Philips travel toothbrush to the expensive soniccare. As mentioned in other reviews, the handle vibrates more than the head and it does not feel like its working to clean your teeth at all. I also wear clear aligners and it took forever to clean them with this brush, proving that its in fact not working. Save your money, these things suck and not worth it. Not sure why it has so many great reviews.
I am so disappointed in this product. I bought it based on a review and recommendation I read in CNN's five things new report. I thought it would be perfect to take on trips and easier to pack then my electric toothbrush. It is basically a vibrating manual toothbrush. It is not any more effective then a manual toothbrush. Do not waste your money on this product.
This toothbrush is a joke. The only purpose the vibration serves is to shake just enough to cause the head to fall off while youre brushing. Garbage. Ive owned Sonicare brushes for years and just thought the simplicity of this one would be nice. Save your money. Awful.
