Usedmainly to trim hair around the ears, it's mechanism is so noisy working that it drowns out the sound of it cutting hair. The sideways cutting blades makes it necessary to rock the working end to get to a finer trim, but once used to this it actually works well.

This is a little gem for trimming hair, beards and moustaches. The battery when charged has a decent life allowing for a good thorough cut The kit is also complimented with a generous amount of heads for various jobs and type of cut/length /style. All in all excellent value for money.

Bit disappointed with this new version, have had two of the "older version" this one doesn't seem to cut as well unfortunately, feels better made, but the best thing about this newer model is the free battery that come with it, lasts a long time, but it has to I suppose, because it takes far longer to cut the hairs you bought the thing for. Can't recommend unfortunately.

I had previous had a Remington which worked perfectly that stopped working after 5 years of usage and I thought it would be great to try the Philips.The Philips quality is great and I believe it will last a long while, but the problem I have is that it has a builtin small brush on the blades maybe for protection. While the Remington has no brush builtin which made it better in trimming and removing the hair.

After a few cheap trimmers I wanted an upgrade. Can't go wrong with Philips I thought and pulled the plug. Big mistake! It's of the same low quality as the cheap ones you can buy. The trimmer head mechanism internals are of this cheap white soft plastic held together by a paperclip. Stopped working after a couple of month.When it was still working it was also not trimming hair well. All around fail. Will sure avoid Philips from now on.

One of the most disgusting items I have ever bought no joke. Opened package to find hairs inside and bodily fluids from the nose. So major health risk at the best of times but especially during a global pandemic. Items should be checked thoroughly before sent out for delivery this clearly wasn't, very disappointed and horrified. Wish I could give no stars. I still feel sick at the thought

I was really disappointed with this. I bought it to replace an older version which had worked well but this product sadly is not fit for purpose. It tugs at your hair rather than cutting it and eyebrows take multiple passes to trim anything at all. Nostril hair is worse and leaves the hair too long. Who wants nose stubble?! I am returning mine.

As other reviewers have said the previous version is far better.It has been Ok for nose hair but by Christ does it pull and catch with the eyebrow attachment.It's one of those ridiculous sting type of pains that is disproportionate to what is causing it.Honestly did Philips not actually get anyone to test it?First class pile of crap.
