A fun, more affordable bulb
We were looking specifically for color-customizable lights that were also water resistant for our porch and our shower. This fit the bill and were significantly cheaper than the competitors. We've had fun trying different modes for ambiance or for holidays. They are bright if you need a lot of light, and can also be used for a more gentle glow. All in all, these are a great option for spaces with moisture in and around your home.

A good value with a little more effort
I received an older stock of these bulbs. As they arrived they were on a very old firmware and had issues connecting to my wifi network. I had to set them up in 'manual mode' on the older firmware (each bulb creates a temporary wifi network which you must use and connect to add to the app). I was able to get them connected eventually but they had many settings/features unavailable. BE PATIENT. Wait for the firmware to update before attempting to configure and you will save yourself a lot of frustration. Once they are on the most recent firmware, then move them to their desired location (like maybe use a lamp close to the wifi to get started). they need a really strong wifi signal to update, but work fine further away afterwards. After the update they were matter compliant and easy to finish set up and configure the more advanced features like motion sense and routines.
