[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw a recommendation about using an electric toothbrush. The reasons were based on the improved brushing provided by an electric toothbrush over the old standby hand brushing which I had been doing since I was a child. I ordered a brand model that was recommended based on features and price. I am still learning how to brush effectively. So far, I am pleased with the Philips 4100 series and hope to improve my brushing ability.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Philips 4100 electric toothbrush is a solid choice for anyone looking for an easy upgrade from a manual toothbrush. It does a great job of cleaning teeth, leaving them feeling noticeably smoother and fresher after each use.
Good vibration, feels like it's actually cleaning the teeth. Ease of use. Vibration noise is much quieter than previous models too, great improvement in this model. Battery lasts a much longer time too, also a great improvement. Very happy with this product. Was a good purchase for me.
I think it should have came with at least one more brush head for the price. Charging seems to take a little bit longer than informed but it holds charge decently. I wasnt able to tell woth the sensor as far as it suggests. The bristles seem to also come apart rather easily
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Phillips electric toothbrush for more than a decade now and this is my least favorite. There are no additional options for cleaning times and styles and the brush makes an odd noise if you press too hard on your teeth. Instead of focusing on cleaning all my teeth and gums, I’m trying to be gentle enough. I have started to feel areas of plaque or tartar on my teeth now. Disappointing for me.
I have had several Sonicare toothbrushes over the years %26 know what to expect from them. This one seems nice so far, but one issue that made me take 2 stars off the rating - they don't include a USB charging adapter for the toothbrush that uses USB to charge it! Not many bathrooms include USB plugins, so you have to buy your own adapter to charge this. Philips saves money by doing this, yet you pay extra. Hmmm, I will remember that the next time I order a toothbrush
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to buy a new one because the old one crapped out due to a common issue of the power switch failing after it wets and dries frequently (many other reviews indicating the same). New purchase doesn’t even come with a charger anymore, you have to request it separately. Planned obsolescence and Philips knows most purchases are replacements?
I bought this to replace my last sonicare bought from Costco close to 10 years ago. This toothbrush was insanely underpowered compared to that one.. this one barely vibrated at all. I think the battery powered toothbrushes that you can buy at the dollar tree have more sonic vibration than this exact model of sonicare.. honestly I don’t know how they are selling this. It doesn’t seem to work at all. I didn’t know that all sonicares weren’t created equally, and now I can tell that the price point must make a major difference in the power. I returned this one and I would tell you it’s not worth buying.
This was purchased to replace an older Sonic. The newer type lightweight charging base is so light and flimsy, there's no way to use it without it flopping over all the time unless you stick it to the counter. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Returned it for a refund as soon as I unboxed it. Gimme a break! Designers should be put out to pasture or otherwise disposed of. I will never buy a unit with this charger no matter how many companies opt to use that type charger. Who wants a wireless charger that causes the unit to be fall-over prone??? ^%23@%26%$%$%23 PLEASE!!!
I've been using a Sonicare toothbrush for many decades. My previous model was the 4100 series incidentally purchased at my local Walmart which lasted approx. ten-twelve (10-12) years. I was thoroughly happy and satisfied with it at times thinking 'this thing is a beast. Will it never stop working'? When it did finally stop I returned to Walmart to get what appeared to be this 3100 series. In the ads this model had similar numbers to the 4100. I was mistaken! This 3100 series was weak. This statement may not mean much to those not accustomed to Sonicare quality but any longtime user would know exactly what I refer to. I believe that quality control had diminished at Sonicare. That's a bold statement. Just for reference I purchased the 4100 series thinking it was like my last brush. it too was underpowered. At this point the jump from $40-$50 becomes a leap to $80-$100. A bridge too far. I'm very disappointed with Sonicare. Instead of having quality products at all price ranges they sell "junk" at the lower range and top end products reaching $200. Ridiculous! Who's going to pay $200 for a toothbrush knowing it wont last that much longer that the low end product? Would you? I didn't think so.
