During a dental checkup my dentist asked if I used an electric toothbrush. I said no, but had thought about getting one. He recommended Sonicare and he sold them. He also added that Sam's sold them at a price cheaper than he could buy them. I researched electric tooth brushes and chose Sonicare from Sam's. After using my Sonicare for 4 days, mornings and nights, my teeth were 2 to 3 shades whiter. I especially like the built in timer letting you know when to change to the next area to brush. It also has good battery life. I recommend the Sonicare and bought one for my wife.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with this toothbrush, it does the job, I like the 15 seconds timer for different quadrants of the mouth the style and the colour.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Philips toothbrush broke. I was worried about how long will the warranty process take. I was extremely impress. It took less than 1 week from the moment I submitted my request for the warranty and proof of purchase, to the moment my new replacement arrived at my door step. I am very happy with this model. Every time I use it, I feel my teeth as clean as if I went to the dentist. It's impressive. I will certainly won't be going back to traditional toothbrush. Highly recommend it.
great value, I believe it is the sweet spot for sonicare models ... and yes I like Philips Sonicare ... I did not know what I was missing until we upgraded to this model. I have also had their top of the line and did not like it as well
I received Philips Sonicare Protective Clean 6100 Sonic electric toothbrush two months ago as a gift and I love it. I have traveled with it several times now. I love the travel case and the battery life is great. I used it for a week without having to charge it. At first when I started using it, it seemed very intense even on the lowest setting, but now I have become a custom to the vibration. My teeth are smother and seem to be whiter. I have tried the whiting button and the gum button once each but stay with the general setting to brush my teeth. As I was told, don't turn it on unless it is in your mouth, it can splatter. It is a little messier than a traditional tooth brush, but worth the time and effort to use the Philips Sonicare Protective Clean 6100 Sonic electric toothbrush. Thank you, Philips for making a great product in a fun color!
My dentist recommended this model plus there are thousands of positive reviews. It's easy to operate, the battery lasts a long time between charges, is waterproof and can be washed off after each use. It does a noticeably good job. Better than brushing by manually. After my dentist visit the other day, they noticed much less tarter and I said I bought the Sonicare brush. It's doing a great job and I highly recommend it!
this 6100 toothbrush definitely provides superior cleaning to my previous sonicare but needs to be charged more frequently-- annoyingly so in my opinion. before purchasing believe i read a product description that promised a 3 week charge with regular use, i am finding that i need to charge every week!?
This is the second Sonicare toothbrush for me. Love the feeling of a clean mouth! No complaints about effectiveness. The handle has been redesigned and is smooth around the entire circumference making it somewhat difficult to hold and control. A different texture on the back of the handle would make it nearly perfect. The rfid chip to track use is interesting but makes for expensive replacement brush heads.
I purchased this toothbrush to replace an earlier Sonicare model, and have been impressed for the most part. However, the stated 21 day battery life is very overstated. On average, I have to charge the toothbrushes every 4-5 days. Also, the power and feature buttons are located in a spot where it is difficult not to press them while using the toothbrush. I will continue to use Sonicare products, but will be replacing this one much sooner than I had anticipated.
I've owned several Sonicare toothbrushes over the years. I had a bottom of the line model but it still did the job wonderfully. For Christmas I decided to upgrade and bought the 6100 model. Sadly, I've only used it a month and now the brush head falls off EVERY TIME I USE IT. I've read reviews that said you should make sure the brush head is pushed down, and I do push down the brush head before I brush, but by the time the 2 minutes are over, the brush head falls off in the sink....EWWWWWWWWW! Come on! This is supposed to be an upgrade and now I'm stuck with an icky brush head that falls off every time I use it.
