Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Classic Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush, White Edition, HX9331/43

I have been using regular manual toothbrushes my entire life, thinking that electric toothbrushes are: 1) a waste of money. 2) too bulky. 3) not much better in cleaning teeth as regular toothbrushes. After recently talking to my dentist and spending copious amounts of time on Reddit,reading about the benefits of electric toothbrushes, I have decided to choose the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean Electric toothbrush. The choice wasn't easy as there are hundreds of different electric toothbrushes with different brush heads, price points, designs, and features. This brush checked off everything I wanted in a toothbrush. There are 3 key factors that I used to judge the best toothbrush for me: 1) Quality- I used to go to the dentist every 6 months, but due to insurance problems this last year i had only gone once in the last 3 years. Nonetheless, my dentist told me I needed to care for my teeth more. I need a brush that will truly clean my teeth and help make my teeth last as long as possible. The DiamondClean has 5 brushing modes! If any product has 5 modes, then it is likely that a lot of investment was made into the brush. I wonder how many designers and engineers were working on this product! Another quality feature is its travel case. I've never seen a nicer toothbrush travel case! I've added a photo of the interior of the travel case. It sounds silly to talk about, but I travel a lot and having a nice travel case is a nice sight to see when I'm exhausted from work on a travel day and am only minutes away from hitting the hay. 2) Buy it for life- I knew I was going to spend more on a toothbrush than I had done my entire life combined, so I needed to make sure that I'd buy a brush that would last for years. This toothbrush works with all Philips Sonicare brush heads which was necessary for me because I would hate if I had trouble finding brush heads or if this toothbrush was discontinued and I had to toss it out after my last remaining brush head. 3) Design- This is important because I like quick access to my brush, but I don't like when the first thing you see when you walk in a bathroom is a neon yellow brush. It takes away from the bathroom decor. So I made sure to get a toothbrush that is bold but not distracting. The design on this toothbrush is impeccable! The way you charge this toothbrush is by simply placing it in the cup holder that is provided! For set up, all you have to do is plug in the provided base for the cup holder and put the cup on the cup holder. Simple as that! You can go brushing away with a full charge every time you pick up the toothbrush! I've added a photo of the cup holder base to show you that even the base is sleek and polished. Lastly, the cord is long, so even if the outlet is far from where you want to station your toothbrush, there is a good amount of cord to reach farther areas. Overall, the design and functionality are top-tier,which make the brush of significant value and worth the higher price point. The brush doesn't take much space at all in both the physical sense and also in terms of attention. Teeth are really important for your health. Consider this product as an investment for your health and your Hollywood smile! I highly recommend this product. TL;DR- Functionality: 10/10 Design: 10/10 Price: 9/10 If you currently have a regular toothbrush, switch to electric and look at your budget and if you want to spend a bit more for more features, this toothbrush is my favorite. and has all the features I need and want. This gem is priced at $199, but there is a 30 dollar mail-in rebate so it only costs $169. Not only is the price amazing, but also I truly believe that this product was designed by keeping in mind of the consumer's pain points and trying to convert those pain points into happy points. For a person who loves whitening her teeth, having the sensitive mode comes in real clutch when my teeth are constantly sensitive because of all the whitening I do. In addition, its 4 modes: clean, white+, deep clean+, and gum health allows any person to find their perfect fit for their teeth. The feel is really smooth, and the look is super sleek too. It comes in a variety of colors: grey, black, white, pink, and rose gold. I particularly like the white and rose gold since it matches my style the most. If you're willing to spend money on something that will last long and make your teeth squeaky white and clean, buy this toothbrush. Its great features, variety of color options, and rebate deal makes this the best value toothbrush for you!!!

I really love this electric toothbrush. The box comes with a handle, a brush head, a travel case, a glass cup, and a charger. First of all, it has five different modes that you can pick based on your own needs: clean, white, sensitive, gum care, and deep clean. The toothbrush vibrates differently for each mode. I really like that it is customized so people can use this for different purposes. I personally prefer a smaller toothbrush head, so this one is perfect. This toothbrush also has a hygienic brush head cap and a travel case which are super convenient for traveling around. This toothbrush is very well-designed in that it makes brushing your teeth very easy. It has a timer for two minutes, which is the period of time that most dentists recommend. It also beeps every 30 seconds so you know to switch spot. The White mode has an extra 30 secs for brightening your teeth. And the gum care mode has an extra minute for massaging your gums. The timer kind of forces you to brush your teeth for 2 minutes which is great because I don't have an excuse not to anymore. I think one of the most unique feature of this electric toothbrush is the charging glass cup. You can either charge by putting your toothbrush directly on the stand or you can just place your toothbrush resting in the glass cup that came with it, it's amazing! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an electric toothbrush, it has everything that you can look for in a toothbrush. I am writing this review as part of a contest.

The Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean HX9351 electric toothbrush is definitely the top-of-the-line luxury toothbrush that current offerings by Philips, even the entire electric toothbrush market. It has every single feature you could ever imagine in one set, both from hardware and software feature perspective. I mean, we all know Philips Sonicare products have always been THE ONE (I believe it has been in market for 25 years and have been always the best), but this model is even better than I original expected. The only "cons" it has, if you called it one, is the price is a bit high compared to the rest of the market. but if you consider the additional features it offers, including the multiple roles of cleaning/whitening your teeth, maintaining gum health and cleaning your tongue (which rarely offered by other similar products), and also how much money you are saving year over year with your dentist work, I saw the value of investing in this product immediately. Firstly I want to talk about look. Yes, everything starts with how it looks. All the colors it offers are adorable, or let's say sophisticated - and I'm extremely loving the black one. The rich color is just gorgeous - and even imagine your brush rests in an elegant glass that could charge it. Secondly, let's talk about the five cleaning settings: o Clean – 2 minute divided into four 30 second periods cycle for everyday use. Middle intensity. o Whitening – 2 minute, same intensity as clean, but pulses rapidly. (alternates every 2 seconds between rapid pulsing and continuous vibration) Again 2 minutes divided into 30 second periods. Then the vibration changes to slow pulsing, which goes on for 30 seconds divided into two 15 second periods, then off. Purpose of this function is to remove surface stains. Low intensity. o Gum health – 3 minutes in total. Firstly 2 minute, 30 second cycle, again. and then followed by another minute at Clean mode intensity divided into four 15 second periods. High intensity, much stronger than Clean mode. o Deep clean – 2 minute cycle, four 30 seconds period, brush-pacer feedback. And I would say it is some high intensity as Gum health. o Tongue care – 20 second cycle, special micro-bristle head. Low intensity. Thirdly, the software support and bluetooth function. This toothbrush connects to an app to teach you or let's say guide you when you are brushing your teeth "wrong". It is automated linked the first time you use the toothbrush, and letting you know when you brushed too fast, skipped a section when you are lazy (haha) or applied too much pressure when you brush the teeth. Now I have a dentist at home correcting me and calling me out when I'm not doing the right thing to protect my teeth and gum well!! As someone who has been having a history of all sorts of dental practice... including implant and crowns, and also understand the pain (last time deep cleaning was really painful because I did not do well in tooth brushing work before)... I am extremely invested in protecting in healthy teeth and gums now. I hope you are doing the same thing too. In on word, this toothbrush is amazing.

My only real concern is that the design makes it hard to hold onto. I've almost dropped it a few times. It is attractive, but very slick. I don't think that the cleaning and whitening is actually any better than the Elite or the Essence which I have used for the past several years. I'm glad that I received it as a gift, as I would not think the significant price difference is at all worth it.

I have had at least 3 of this model of Sonicare toothbrush over several years. What I didn't realize is that the travel case did not come with the direct option charger as the others I have purchased, which means I will have to take the table top charger and the travel case when I travel.

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush. It looks great, and, when fully charged works great! The only issue that I have (and it is kind of a big issue) is how long it stays charged. I have to charge it every one to two days. The charge indicator light seems like it is constantly blinking. When I first take it off of the charger, it is very powerful and works wonderfully, but, by the next day I can really tell that the toothbrush is not as effective. My other sonicare toothbrushes would stay charged for a week with no problems, so I am a bit disappointed in the DiamondClean. I would still recommend buying a Sonicare, I am hoping that I just got a bad one.

I chose this rating because I love the way the toothbrush makes my teeth feel. My dentist loves it to. But the product breaks down way to fast. I am on my third replacement toothbrush and 2 charger base. For the amount paid I expect more durability. I got my mom and daughter a Philips toothbrush as well and I am praying they don't break down. If they do I am done with this company. I do recommend this toothbrush for overall dental health but I also let my friends know that it may not last long.

The first year was great. But as time wore on, the brush began to malfunction and was unable to generate the vibrations necessary for an acceptable clean. I regret that I didn't act to replace the brush within the two year warrantee window that Phillips allots.
