Philips Viva Collection HR2204 - Soup Maker - 1.3 qt - 1000 W - Black

A Christmas gift arrived from our daughter while we were wintering in Florida. Soup in 18 minutes? Who could make a claim like that and not be accused of false advertising? We followed the instructions for the carrot ginger soup and 18 minutes later we had a delicious soup! Since then we have made several different soups as well as buying several cook books on soup making. Easy cleanup was an extra bonus. We have since purchased a second Phillips Soup Maker for our home in Upstate New York. We would and have recommended your product to our friends who are just amazed as we were about your great product.

I can't express enough how happy I am with the soup maker. It makes making soup effortless. No way around "preparation" ...you still have to shop for the ingredients and cut them up. But after that, you throw it in the soup maker and 18 minutes later ...delicious soup. What I love about the recipe book is that the recipes don't fuss over spices. I add none and the soup is amazing!

I prefer soups like purée. For me it just like savior . For better taste I realized I need to use bullion cubes . Also it is very important to follow the instructions. Amount of ingredients and water plus the temperature. Already cooked 2 times cauliflower soup purée and mushroom.

For any meal preparation it takes a few minutes to prep your vegetables etc... however I am most pleased how quickly this cooks, blends and is ready to eat in less than 20 minutes. So far I have only cooked the Puree soups.... and this items does great job. I will try the other stuff later. Recommended for anybody... even those that don't know how to cook !!

I am a lover of soup. Always have been! When I first saw advertising for this product I thought,?”Do I really need another small kitchen appliance that only does one job? It turns out I do! I love making my favorite cream of tomato soup in the Viva on a whim! I prep a few ingredients, turn it on and walk away! No I watching , stirring, no anything! Just come back in about 20 minutes or so and pour my steaming soup into my cup and enjoy. It even turns itself off when done. Thank you, Phillips!

[Employee of philipsglobal] The soup make can process a soup with in 15 minutes for a family of four. We like it so much that we bought foure more as Christmas gift for our other families and friends.

I am not a gadget person and this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I am afraid I will wear it out!

I love my soup maker which is also easy to clean; however, I haven't use the soup maker for any milk based soups which could cleaning difficult.

I love soup for dinner when it's chilly, and my soup maker makes a variety of tasty soups with enough to share or have good leftovers! I love that it cooks the potatoes and other ingredients perfectly - you just measure and load the ingredients and press a couple pieces of buttons. 18 minutes later, yummy, hot soup :) it also makes delicious hot chocolate!!!

I've only made soup three times, used recipes in provided book. The first two were great. The third was milk based and the alarms went off immediately that it as burning to bottom. I have to try again. Portions are great, I live alone so a gallon of soup is not ideal for me. It heats up fast and does what it's supposed to do, I'll just have to use more. Easy clean up, doesn't take up a lot of space.
