Money saver!

DeerHunter13 April 19, 2009

These wireless jacks were as described. Easy set up and no problems. They were purchased for a DVR receiver to prevent a trip to the attic to re-run phone lines and to eliminate a $5/mo. charge for not having the unit connected to an active phone line. They will pay for themselves in 10 months.

did just what I needed it to

We needed to get our Direct TV DVR hooked to a phone line to use the On-Demand service. This thing did the trick. Out of the box and downloading movies in 10 minutes. Great!

Caller ID and Direct TV

Molarmommie August 8, 2017

If you have an H44 receiver, wireless phone jack, and VoIP phone service...here is what you do...Connect base unit of wireless phone jack into electric outlet. Attach phone cord From "Line" on wireless phone jack base unit into home hard wired wall phone jack. Connect extension wireless jack into electric outlet near H44 receiver. Connect phone cord into wireless extension jack and into H44 receiver. Make sure both wireless phone jacks' lights are green. Then, connect a phone line from the VoIP modem to a hard wired wall phone jack. Make sure you have caller ID "on" under the Extra settings, Caller ID, Notifications under menu. Should work without any problem!

Just what I needed

TwoOfUs July 20, 2010

For a while, I have needed a wireless jack for the rooms in my home that do not have a telephone jack. After purchasing the Phonex Easy Jack PX211 Wireless Jack Base and Extension Unit all my needs have been resolved. I am very happy with it! Now I can view caller ID from my tv set. This was one of my main concerns. I also received help from customer service to make sure I had it set up correctly. Thanks for all your help!

Exactly what i needed

jjojolo January 18, 2010

I needed a way to order/watch movies from my DirectTV without having to reroute a phone line to the receiver. This product works great, setup in 5mins, was watching movies that night. Not so good for phone use because of static but great for satelite receivers, cheaper than the setup DirectTV offers too!

This product is working great for me. Hooked up to my satellite receiver. Should pay for itself in 6 months of no extra fees from Dish Network. Wish I would have found this sooner.

okay for dishnetwork

dashmarvel January 24, 2009

I bought this product to connect my laptop for dial-up but everytime I tried to use it, it wouldn't recognize a dial tone and then I would have to reset it. However, it did work on my dish network receiver and with a regular phone.

Easy Jack 2 Not Easy

arthur7 December 22, 2009

Online product description suggest this item is used to create a phone jack where this isn't one, but it doesn't say that it is for data only. To me, the primary purpose of a phone line is the phone, and that should be the main use of this item. The model I received is for data, and creates a humming sound when I use it for my phone. Now I have to return it and buy another one, which is a waste of my time.

Waiting forCustomer Service

priscase March 10, 2009

I recently added an internet phone line in my office and I wanted to extend this service to a phone in the kitchen. I bought this wireless jack in order to allow such operation but I was unable to dial out using the extended phone --The line tone was there but wouldn't connect with the outside world. Upon reading the user Manual I become aware that there are two versions of this model (PX-211d and PX-211v) one unit is used for data and the other for voice and data. Unfortunately I got the one for data only and not voice. The Internet description is generic without any explanation of such differences it gives the misleading impression that the unit will work in any application. I tried different phones to no avail and I proceeded to plan B this was to call the manufacturer customer assistance. All I got was a voice mail and a message saying we will call you later. I'm still waiting for a company rep to get in touch. I will return the unit and hope to get the right one or change manufacturer.

It didn't state anywhere in the description whether this product was for data or voice. On the picture it said on the unit data/voice. When I got the unit it said data only on the device. There was a lot of static/noise on the line. I tried to hook the extension unit up to my sattelite receiver in our basement and it only worked part of the time. Most of the time it said I had no dial tone. I returned it.
