I did buy this on sale so I got a very good purchase for my money. I bought this item on two diffrent occasions totalling 3 boxes for family members. Everyone involved loved them ! Fun and nice gift to give if you have someone who enjoys rock excavation. Gems are very nice too !

This item is great and I used it as a periodic treat for my toddler when going potty. It helped with a fun task to do that can take some time when needing to keep her busy.

We had these at our kids Easter party. Used these as well as plastic eggs to hunt. The kids all had a blast with these gems. Great fun for every age.

I purchased this as an Easter present for my grandson's Easter egg hunt. The chalk bricks are well packaged and a good size to be found easily - and that's the only thing positive I can say about the product. I purchased a different brand last year that had a mix of dinosaur and gem rocks which were of a very decent size. This product is advertised as GEMSTONE Dig Kit and displays rocks about the size of a quarter. NO - NOPE - NOT EVEN CLOSE. The brick is the size of a bar of soap. It needs to be completely soaked in water for several minutes to be soft enough for a child to dig with the accompanying wooden pick. WORST OF ALL - the "gems" (read rocks) are the size of your little finger nail. Grandchild had fun looking for them but quickly lost interest in exploring for little tiny rocks.
