Family has fun putting it together. 6 items to build but downfall is there is only 1 solar battery window. Also had an issue with one of their other kits and customer service/tech support was not helpful on solutions as it was not working.

Such a fun, clever gift for kids. These robots are solar powered and do not require batteries!

I though this was a really good gift for my nephew. He loved it! Easy to assemble the different robots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems pretty easy to put together but some pieces could be challenging. Over all it is pretty cool how it is solar and how it moves. If your child likes to build stuff I definitely recommend this for your kiddo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 9 years old son and he absolutely love it! The instruction book is easy to understand so me and my son manage to assemble it, it just takes a while. He had a great time just setting it up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a fun and educational STEM toy. It comes with pliers to clip apart the plastic components and instructions. The stated age range is 6, but my advanced 6 year old needed A LOT of help and it took a long time to assemble. My son is pretty used to kits like this—we have engineering subscription boxes and this was still way too challenging for him to do much in the building stage, but he liked playing with the finished projects. I would say 10-12 is a better age range when they have the dexterity for the small pieces. Instructions are pretty standard for this kind of set, but I wish that it had a video tutorial to follow along with. Overall, a great activity or gift for an older kiddo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thought this would be an awesome project for my three kids. They are 12, 10, and 8. The oldest two being boys and the youngest a girl. They are all pretty good with all things STEM, and this product looked like a good kit that would keep them busy, and engaged during winter break. Upon first opening my kids were immediately overwhelmed with the amount of parts and small pieces. They slowly followed the instructions separating and detaching all the pieces, then sorting them as recommended into the provided baggies which the kids previously labeled with the provided stickers. It took them about an hour to cut out each piece and separate them, but they got it done. After that the instructions call for you to assemble the robot's body and head. The gears and electronics are externally small, and even though they are Lego building masters they struggled significantly putting it together. Not sure where the disconnect is, but they can not get the gears to work. I've checked their progress multiple times, but haven't been able to see why it will not work as advertised. The unit has been disassembled and reassembled with no luck. All in all I think the idea of this product is great. Unfortunately in an attempt to make it small, it has become far to difficult for young kids to build and use on their own.
