Pillsbury Funfetti Yellow Cake Mix with Candy Bits, 15.25 Oz Box

There are a lot of cake mix brands out there and they all promise to produce a moist, delicious cake. Pillsbury cake mixes are cheaper then the other big brands and they are actually better tasting to me. They also offer corresponding frosting. The "Funfetti" are colorful and fun. Kids are bound to love the candy pieces in it.

My children wanted to make the viral dot cake so I bought this flavour to go with chocolate icing. Baked it on a cookie pan and they just used plastic cups to cut it out and stuff in their cup between layers of icing. It was perfect. It's box mix, not from scratch and it did the job while tasting great. Nice that it was YELLOW confetti cake vs the usual white version. Cake was gone in just a few hours.

I have been making funfetti cakes and cupcakes for at least 20 years maybe more. Always a hit at family gatherings. So moist and easy to make. Delicious!

I can't remember the last time I purchased a Pillsbury cake mix. I started noticing online chefs and bakers that I usually align with on taste, are using Pillsbury. I tried this yellow Funfetti cake mix and it truly taste like the birthday cake from stores and bakeries that I use. I used Classic Olive Oil (a high heat olive oil) for the vegetable oil and followed directions exactly. I imagine if I had used an extra egg and milk in place of the water that it would feel even more elevated. It feels a little silly talking about how delicious and high quality the taste of the cake came out but it truly did. I baked it about 5 minutes less than it called for. The only issue I had is that it is so moist that it is not a good idea to add frosting after it cools down unless you freeze it first because I had to do some serious masking where the icing tore the top later off of my cake. If you're looking for a classic birthday cake taste, I suggest this mix. The yellow cake version is the way to go in this Funfetti line. I have a feeling that I am the last person to the party line on thinking this cake mix is a birthday cake keeper.

More sprinkles are needed! Otherwise, the cake was pretty good. I would have also enjoyed a more vanilla flavor. The cake was lighter than I thought it would be, and I loved it. I would purchase again if I'm in a pinch, but I'm also interested in trying out other funfetti mixes to see how this holds up.

I didn’t I didn’t receive multiple things in my order and it kept giving me an error that they couldn’t help me so I haven’t ordered since I was very upset because I was cooking a big dinner that night. I needed most of those items and I never got refunded.
