The worst experience I've had purchasing a home product. They charged $99 for shipping which I gladly paid expecting to promptly get my sofa (they said 3 days). In 3 days a box arrived. Part of a sofa. No indication about the rest of the sofa. After several calls Walmart told me it was on the way. Actually it was stuck in KY for 3 more days. After 3 days, another box arrived. I raced that box to the town where I was staging my home for sale—and it had to be assembled that night for the real estate photos which I'd had to cancel 3 days earlier.
There weren't enough parts. We worked to assemble what was there, and the back of the chaise section did not fit into the base. One of the pieces was defective. We cobbled it together as best we could, but a number of cushions were missing. If you sell sofas and ship them, how do you ship them without all of the cushions??
Total unmitigated disaster.
Walmart's review asked about ‘comfort'. Comfort of a sofa with no seat cushions? Quality of a sofa that has parts that don't fit together?
This is still unresolved. My real estate listing is a disaster—all because Walmart works with a sofa company that can't make sofas that fit together and that can't even count the cushions on a sofa.
Pretty bad indictment of Walmart's choice of vendors and of Pingliang for being a company this careless and casual about the quality of what they sell.
Shameful.
And it's pretty clear that they don't care how much they screwed up.
