i bought this to handle watching free ota tv. with this being said i dont care how long it really lasts i THINK that i got one that will last at least twenty years. made by TCL high end. just use it..... thats been my motto for tvs. and this pioneer suprised me with features i didnt know it would do such as pandora tv, and a tv screen that doesnt hurt my eyes
I got this TV recently to replace our living room TV and I love it. Easy to use, works with my soundbar, don't have to download any apps. Voice remote can be a bit fickle but works most of the time. Picture quality is good, display is nice for the price, and it has lots of useful settings (I like to wake the TV with casting so I turned on the "Wake with media casting setting," for example. I also swap devices on inputs a lot so I turned off the "HDMI compatilbity alerts setting," it was nice to have that option). Dolby Vision makes Netflix exclusives look great. All in all, would recommend!
Xumo is user friendly and we love it! We have two Xumo stream boxes for our older large TV's. As I was looking for a new TV for the sewing room I saw an ad for this 24" Pioneer TV with Xumo already installed! I remember Pioneer products from way back and jumped to try this product. The sound is very good, as is the picture. Xumo, preinstalled was up and running within 10 minutes from the time I opened the box. I highly recommend this product.
Now this is what a Smart TV should be like! I recently purchased the Pioneer Xumo TV and have been using it non-stop. All my favorite apps are right there on my home screen, and I don't need to constantly switch devices (which is a huge pain point when I have to use different devices to find certain content)---everything is in one place! The included voice remote and customizable home screen using "My List" is a really nice feature too. I would recommend this TV to anyone who wants a simple and fun Smart TV.
Tons of lag on xumo, along with always losing signal while the roku still works fine. I have to have a roku hooked up also just in case channels just quit working.
I have returned this television twice because it continues to jump off the internet. I'm 70 years old and I've had the television for less than six months and have to call my son continuously to connect the TV to the internet. Never had a TV to do this in my life. Shows a wonderful picture, when playing, but not worth the time or money to purchase.
Simply awful TV. I am considering going to the store and spending the day telling people just how bad these TVs are. I am also going to talk to my lawyer about what can be done. Bought it a year ago this past January and have never gotten rid of the box. It has never worked right and starting today it is now talking with each key stroke of the remote. Horrible, horrible, horrible piece of feces.
Do not buy this! Stick with Roku or anything else, this operating system is GARBAGE! I will say the picture quality is amazing, but that is the only thing this tv has going for it. Otherwise, the xumo OS is glitchy and slow. When I want to watch local using my antenna, the sound and/or picture is constantly going out. When it comes back, the sound and picture are out of sync. Seriously, I can't watch TV more than a minute or 2 without having to change the channel to clear the cache. Just to have it happen again....and again and again and again. This is happening multiple times a day. It routinely crashes and I have to totally unplug the tv to reboot the system. I feel like I am trying to watch TV over an old dial up connection. I received this tv as a gift, so of course I don't have a receipt and it seemed like it was fine for the first couple of weeks so I got rid of the box, otherwise I would return this piece of crap in a heartbeat. As I write this review, the tv has lost pic and sound sync at least 4 times. I never had this problem with my old not-smart tv and Roku stick. Also with Roku I can choose what I want or don't want on my home screen. No such luck with xumo...they are like the cable company telling you what you can and cannot watch. No thanks. Xumo, your system sucks.
Can't download apps... if you want to down load apps DO NOT buy this TV. Not a true smart TV... Further more if you use Plex account Xumo does not allow access to personal media servers....
I bought our 55” xumo pioneer tv and this won't let me leave a zero star review or I would. I have the tv connected to internet at it non stop disconnects and reconnects. We can't even get through a movie on this piece of s*#t. By far the worst tv ever purchased. We bought it and set it up and just didn't have the time to actually set down an watch it. Once we didn't manage to. Well can't do that anyways. Avoid it all together if I was you.
