Needed to replace my vintage 5 disc player after many years of good service. Stuck with Pioneer brand and a lower priced single disc unit, as I don't play the CD's as much these days. Excellent sound, good operation, very satisfied…hopefully another couple decades of service! Recommended.

Pioneer builds quality products. My last pioneer c d player was purchased in 1991. will always buy pioneer.

Identical to my 12 year old Onkyo CD player
This Pioneer is actually made by Onkyo and it says so on the carton. Coincidentally, I am retiring a 12 old Onkyo, which is identical to this unit. My, stalwart Onkyo started to have trouble reading the contents on my CDs. I've had this for 2 weeks or so and it works great with my Bose 901 system. After 12 years, the price doubled on this unit. Just gotta grin and bear it. Cheers.

CD player - didn't work right out of box.
Didn't work right out of box. Took to “service” counter at local Walmart to return as instructed. Once I finally got to acWalmart employee they had no idea what to do. Finally found another employee that could help. Took about two weeks for shipment to get back to store that sold it and another 30 days to get money refunded
