Pioneer Woman Tea Kettle Whistler

Love Pioneer Woman Products I have just moved into a new apartment and I love my teakettle, However alot of Pioneer Woman Products are not stocked in the stores anymore and When you order online Pioneer Woman Products are out of stock This Concerns me because I have furnished my apartment with Pioneer Woman accents I hope PW items don't become Obsolete

This kettle is very substantial. It not only is beautiful (which is exactly what you'd expect from anything from The Pioneer Woman) it's very well made. The hardware is sturdy and feels built to last. It holds a good amount, so if you're having several cups of tea, cocoa or need a large amount of boiling water it will get the job done. It retains the temperature of the water for at least a second cup (15-20 minute range). I can definitely recommend this tea kettle whether you are looking for a decorative item that will enhance the decor of your kitchen or for a practical item to have your tea. (Note: I have a flat top electric stovetop so I cannot say how it handles the flames from a gas cooktop)

The Pioneer Woman Blooming Bouquet 2-Quart Teapot is beautiful as it is functional. It is well made, with good weight to it. I think this teapot will really last over time. It was really designed so lovely. Now I want to get the matching items in this line. I would definitely recommend this teapot. Besides using it to heat water, I'm a big tea drinker and I'll use it every day.

This is a really nice tea kettle. It is solid and and feels much more expensive than what I paid for it. It doesn't have that tin can feel about it like some tea kettles do. The lid is heavy and if fits snugly. I like that the handle folds down for cleaning and filling with water. it is slightly larger than the kettle that i have now. It whistles loudly, I need this because I get busy doing things and often forget that I put the kettle on. The colors are bright and cheerful on a bright white background and the graphics appear to be permanent and not able to be scrubbed off. I would say it is as pretty as the photo if not more so. I am so glad I purchased it. I think it would make a nice gift as well.

The Tea Kettle is really beautiful with flowers on the front and back. It is a fairly large size which is great. It is beautiful displayed out on the stovetop. It works great for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and lots of things that require boiling water. It does not whistle, however. I thought that it would, but it does not. Not a big deal for me. I love the kettle and use it a lot.

The one I wanted was Cheerful Rose, but I got Blooming Bouquet instead (which is this one) because it was the only kettle that had the whistle stopper. I think what happened was that they realized a lot of people were returning the kettles because of the whistler and that's why the other Pioneer Woman kettles no longer has them. It's understandable, and just poor instructions. See, a lot of people wrote that the sprout "leaks", what they are doing is leaving the whistler on and that's why it "leaks" from the end of the sprout... you're supposed to pour your water with the whistler snapped back open. The whistler is the teal color cover on the end of the sprout. Push it back and pour your water out like that. I had thought my kettle also had a "leaking sprout" until my Polish mother-in-law showed me how to correctly pour it... what do I know, I'm a Chinese-American and we drink tea differently than Europeans. Anyway, I'm not too crazy about the pattern, as I like the Cheerful Rose decal a lot better, but I wasn't too crazy about the actual design of those kettles (which looks sort of like a teapot); and I preferred the body design of this one instead. I'm taking a star off though because mine arrived with a very tiny little chip of the enamel on the lid. It was tiny enough for me to dab some white acrylic paint on it with my cheap Crayola brush (small little nick); it didn't bother me enough to return it or exchange it, but it did bother me enough to take a star off. Underside has the PW logo and also directions to handwash. I suppose that would matter if you used this for anything other than water, but for me handwashing this simply means to boil the water. For my first use, I boiled water in it to basically clean it (it'll work better than any soap or sink water if you basically boil water in it and discard that first water); and then I slowly poured the water out through the sprout with the whistler on (to clean that part too). After my first batch of boiled water was discarded, I've never cleaned it since... I mean, you're boiling water in it, so why would you need to clean after that first cleaning, right? The only part I do clean is the underside, because that occasionally gets stained. The handle did not get hot even when the water boiled, I loved it because I was able to pick it up with my bare hand.

I received this beautiful tea kettle and and it is absolutely beautiful. It is ceramic and cleans very well. The care instructions is included in the package. It's a beautiful addition to any home that cares for class in the kitchen and table. I have used it and totally love it. Please note that it is larger than pictured and can hold about 10 cups of liquid. The lid is a bit stiff, and it does not whistle; it would have earned 5 stars if it did. This still does not take away from the kettle at all. This product was received from the Spark Reviewer Program in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

So it's a beautiful design on the exterior, but you can't hold it without a pot holder. It gets so hot and the handle doesn't stay up. It just sways with the hinge that's not what I'm used to.

Pros: Beautiful, colorful design which looks great on my white ceramic cooktop. Cons: The kettle is heavy and you practically have to lift it upside down to pour boiling water out of it. I think this has something to do with the handle being too high and it not balancing well. The "whistling" mechanism doesn't fit tight enough to whistle loudly and steam leaks out of the lid onto the handle and makes the handle wet. This is a beautiful decoration but little more than that. It's not practical and I will be searching for a tea kettle which is convenient to use.

much too heavy and difficult for an older person. I have not been able to give it away. MAY I RETURN TO LOCAL STORE FOR A DIFFERENT ITEM. Packaging was horrible and unable to save.
