Takes a minute to assemble, but all of the parts were there and instructions were straightforward. So far it is working admirably, may wear it out before the warranty expires...

After years of using my gas grill as a smoker I now know what I was missing. Assembly was fairly easy and nothing was damaged or missing. Set the temp and time, add chips and meat, insert a probe and watch through the window as it does it's magic.

I love the convenience of the electric Pit Boss 2. It is the right size for our needs. The electric keeps us from having to go out in the middle of the night to check the temperature. It comes with the meat probe so we can see when it's done. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a smoker.

I like everything about it! It's wonderful and I absolutely love that I can crank up the heat to crisp chicken skin.

Had a cheap smoker I have used for several years. It just got too much with the constant tweeting to get the temp right, and the clean up was a nightmare. Finally got the Pitboss with a digital temp control, cleaning look 100 percent easyer with catch pans. Plus I don't have to open the door while cooking to do everything.

The smoker arrived in excellent condition. The assembly instructions are clearly written and are provided in a good quality book with detailed pictures. The design of the smoker is more robust than other products in this price range. It looks nice too! The control is easy to set and it works as designed. I am very happy with my purchase.

I live the look and size of this smoker. It is nicely built, with good casters, legs, and is good quality. It functions well and maintains consistent heat. The smoker box is rather small and tended to only smoke my food for around 20-30 min before more wood needed to be applied.

Easy to see the meat inside. Digital thermometer is nice. Does not come assembled - or seasoned. Easy to use and move. Happy with purchase

The electric Pit Boss series 2 is a bit of a hassle if you're a beg beginner DIY person..got it all together, plugged it in, the light showed that it was on, but no screen to program...fiddled and fiddled, but no luck...called customer service and spoke with a truely nice gentleman who walked me thru the basics to take it apart and check the wiring...so, i took ot all apart again, brought it in the house to have a looky-see...yea, that wasn't going to happen..I couldn't even see how to get to the wiring...so flip it back over and plug it in..Woo-Hoo..a lit up panel!! Take it outside, get it all plugged in...no lights...here i wrote all this review to simply state, tge lights in the screen panel need to be much much brughter...they can not be seen out in any daylight...I have to set it up and get it started in the dark garage and then wheel it out to the yard...other than that, it was a really nice unit and my first time smoking anything..

It makes the outer layer of meat hard or tougher than usual.
