Pit Boss 42" Digital Vertical Smoker with Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®

Unit is so easy to use and offers a ton of space. I havent smoked in years after I got tired of babysitting my propane unit. This electric unit gets up to temp quickly and holds temp within 5 degrees. The wifi / blue tooth connection makes this thing the easiest cooker you will ever have. You can monitor the cooker and the two food probes wirelessley from anywere with the wifi option. You can alsp control the cooker via the app with either connection. This thing makes it to easy, just find a recipe and monitor your internal temps from anywhere. The app alos alows you to set up notifications for timers right to your phone.

Wonderful smoker takes chucks and pallets. So far very pleased with performance.

4 stars because nothing is ever perfect. Bought the new 30” and 42”. I bought them for smoking my cured bacons and hams and very low temps. I am smoking at 160 for my bacons and 150 for my hams. I used different wood chips for each smoke. Everything turned out phenomenal! Opening the box the 30” unit had cosmetic damage which I could repair with my hand. The quality of these smokers is better than any other PITBOSS I ever owned. I love that I can add wood chips and pellets and not have to worry about another motor burning out on me. I feel these models infuse more of that smoke flavor. Smoking at low temps the chips did not burn very quickly. They actually lasted through a the whole smoke. When you increase the temp to 175the chips will burn a lot faster.

The seal on the unit was faulty. It allowed heat and smoke to escape around the door. As a result it would only reach a temp of 200 degrees. The drawer for the wood chips was poorly made and did not fit. It did not come with a water pan. I got rid of it and bought a Masterbilt.

My smoker came to me defective it dose not work. The digital controller doesn't work.
