Pit Boss 820D3 Mahogany Wood Pellet Grill

My wife finally let me buy this I'm so glad she did the family loves it so do I especially during this quarantine we've been using it every day I'm home the flavor of the food is great I've done 4 racks of ribs I also did a Easter ham on there also. Now if I can only get pit boss to post some of my food from Instagram that I made using this pro series 820

I recently bought a PD0820D3 grill and so far very impressed. Now to the honest part. I am 75 years old and it was definitely a two man job getting that 175 # smoker out of my SUV and to my back patio to be assembled. Putting the legs on was the toughest part, but once that was accomplished it was a walk in the park to finish the assembly. since I have smoked with wood and charcoal for at least 50 years it is going to take a little learning to smoke with this new fangeled contraption. I did some chicken thighs my first try and they turned out pretty good. The next day I did some pork ribs and they turned out even better. With a little more learning on how to properly use my PIT BOSS I will be having my neighbors lined up around the block wanting to taste. This PIT BOSS smoker is the best smoker I have ever owned.

Have been using the 820 since July, at least 3 times a week to grill steaks, and have used a few times for smoking... Turkey for Thanksgiving, and a few for making Jerky... I have to say, I love it!! The ease of use, and "set and forget" ability when smoking is priceless, not to mention D E L I C I O U S!! Will be using to smoke a Prime Rib Roast for Christmas..!

I bought my Pro Series 820 at Lowe's, buying this grill was a chore for me. I took so long to decide the salesman walked away. This is easily one of the top 5 purchases I've made. Every meal has been delicious and I am starting to branch out into different types of pellets and meats. My first Pork butt was so tender the blade bone fell out. This is an amazing appliance.

This is the first time I have reviewed my Pit Boss 820. I actually have an older version, but it is basically the same inside and out. I bought mine almost 3 years ago and I have cooked countless briskets, pork shoulders, racks of ribs, turkeys, chickens, you name it. I have never had a problem with any function or feature. My only advice is to clean it regularly, especially the ashes in the firebox. Clean up is actually very simple and I do it after approximately every 3 or 4 cooks. A lot of smoking "purists" will claim that you can't get "real" smoke from a pellet smoker, but I think they are wrong. My food always turns out amazing, and everyone who has tasted it says they can taste the delicious smoke! I am attaching a few pics of some recent cooks. I will eventually buy a new smoker, but the main reason I want a new one is that I want a bigger one to meet all of the demands for my food! Got this smoker for Easter and took awhile too perfect my smoking technique. The last few months have been a blast. Just smoked a 6.5 lbs chicken and it was perfect. Steaks are cooked to perfection as the searing area works great. This is the first smoker my wife has ever used as for the past 30 years I have done all the barbecuing.

Purchased this bad boy from Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. I've never owned a smoker and I've never attempted to smoke anything. Let me tell you, this grill far exceeded my expectations. After the burn off and seasoning I got down to some serious smoking. Ribs turned out awesome. Pork butt could have been better, but that was my fault. Grilled some burgers without issue! BUY THIS PELLET GRILL!

I bought my 820 this spring to replace a Big Green Egg and use next to my gas grill. I grill 4 to 5 times a week and since getting my 820 the gas grill has only been used three times. With summer coming to and end I wanted to get a thermal blanket to facilitate cooking in cold weather, but I just found out they don't make a thermal blanket for the 820. Would have been 5 stars if they made the thermal blanket.

I bought this grill the end of May in 2019. I use a lot and really like the grill. The only complaint I have is the Igniter went out on the 17th of April of this year. The new Igniter is covered by the 5 year warranty so far all is good right? WRONG!! Danson's really let me down on this! I received the new Igniter on 06/28/2020. It took 2 and 1/2 months to get here. I heard so many excuses from they blamed everyone they could think of when I called and asked about it. From he gave you wrong info, shipment is late, China's fault, Federal Government everything except Danson's.
