Pit Boss Charleston Gas/Pellet Combo Grill

It is my first pellet grill and I am obsessed. It took three hours to build alone. But it was worth it, I have used both the grill and smoker part multiple times, with no issues. Would love an insulated cover though. 10/10 would recommend to the anyone who wants a grill / smoker combo.

We have had the same Pit Boss pellet grill ever since they came out. We used it at least once a week since we bought it. We never had one but if problem with it and it always worked like the day we brought it home. Then we saw the Charleston grill and griddle combo. We had to have it. We gave our Son our old Pit Boss and sold our old Blackstone griddle we just bought a month ago. Our new Charleston is extremely well built and hopefully it will serve us as good as the last one did.

Just got the grill today and put it together. Haven't cooked on it yet but looks great and wasn't too hard to put together by myself. Does take about 3 hours tho. After almost 5 years of use it is still cooking great! I made 2 improvements. 1st. I replaced the manual control with Pitboss's wireless/bluetooth control board and it works great. They say didn't test but i have now with over 50 cooks. 2nd, I added a Diffuser shield (https://a.co/d/gM60J1M) to block the heat from going directly at the grills main thermometer and skewing temps. Been smoking fabulous and Grill on the side works fabulous also. Just need to follow maintenance directions.

This was my first grill that I've owned and for the price it is fantastic! I've smoked a brisket that turned out unbelievable for a pellet smoker and the hopper was large enough for an overnight cook. The griddle is great too and seems to have pretty even distribution of heat. The only downside is you can't connect to the hopper with your phone but other than that the Charleston combo grill is amazing. It also has a great look and build quality!

I was lucky enough to purchase this fully assembled so I got to avoid the 3 hour investment. The functionality of the grill is great!! We have even made pastrami. Not sure the probes work the way they should anymore, but I didn't have much hope for them anyway. Good sturdy grill/smoker.

I would stay as far away from this grill as I could get. It's the worst of both worlds. It smokes at 4 times the normal rate: example a brisket should cook at 1.5 to 2 degrees per pound per hour at 200. This grill smokes at 10 minutes per pound at 200 degrees. It's too small to allow airflow. The gas side has the polar opposite problem it will not get hot enough to sear a steak. I know several people who have this grill and we all have the same issues. You have been warned!!!

I ordered two pit Boss grills from Walmart $712 one for each one of my sons for Christmas. One was supposed to go to Arlington and One was supposed to go to Destin.. they got the orders mixed up. I noticed it the next day and both were re-sent to One sons house.. So I called Walmart and talked to them and she said I could cancel one of them and then then turn around and order it and again send it to my son in Arlington . So I did that after they sent me an email saying the order was canceled. I turned around and ordered another one and sent it to Arlington to my other son's house.. a week later it came up on my credit card again that they had charged me for it so. So now I am paying for three Boss grills.. when I called Walmart and told them that the grills had been canceled and I had to text you saying so. she said just to return it when it got here but oh my God they're so big they came on a pallet.. so they said they would send me the paperwork and I could return it to Pit Boss.. so I have notified them to three times and they text me back and tell me that they are sending my text to Pit Boss and that pit boss will be back with me in 48 hours well that's been going on for almost 10 days.. so far now I'm out $712 so please do not buy anything from Walmart because they will not give you the money back or they'll mess up your order

The smoker fan never turns on. After checking to see what the problem is apparently it is very common. I have not called because as per everyone else they just send you the part so you can fix it yourself and it will just break again. Waste of time and money!

Definitely not impressed with this grill I don't know if the people who put together at the store didnt put it together right but I noticed a a lock washer come out of the auger when I started everything up to test everything like it says to do but it doesn't heat up I did the initial burn like the manual says that literally took like 45 minutes to get to 350 degrees I tried to boneless chicken thighs on this thing started it at 3 in the afternoon started it on smoke for 10 minutes let everything get warmed up supposedly it was 125 in the grill the probe say so I was like let's get this bad boy fired up to 350 2 hours later displayed said 175 Definitely frustrating have to starving kids crying and yelling they are hungry so that made t he situation worse. So I like ok give it another try let's try burgers same problem this thing is pointless
