Pit Boss Copperhead 3 Series Pellet Smoker, Vertical Smoker

For lil over $300 you can't beat this smoker. In no time you're burning and smoking. Came with one meat prob but not a big deal. Love the clear glass to see the smoking progress. First time smoking was under 6 hours and had to put 20oz of water 3 times. But still not a big issue. Looks awesome on the porch, “smoke-appeal”. Huge hopper, dumped a whole 40lb bag of pellets and think probably could of took some more. I'm beyond Ecstatic with this smoker and so is family after those ribs and chicken!!!

Super easy to assemble. Took me about 30 mins. Will hold plenty of meat for normal backyard smoking. I love the digital temp read outs. Mine has consistently cooked at about 10 degrees hotter than what it is set at, but no biggie. Super easy usability. Truly set it and forget it. Don't spend double or triple on a Trager.

This smoker is the best one I have owned yet! I have had like 5 different ones in the past 8 years and this is my favorite. It really makes smoking food so easy.

The first thing I made in this smoker was a prime rib and it was the best prime rib of my life! Then I made a turkey for thanksgiving and everyone raved about how moist and flavorful it was! This smoker is so easy to use. Pretty much, just set it and forget it. The only negative is you have to assemble it, which takes a couple hours. It has wheels, which is nice, because it's pretty heavy. And then you can cut holes in the big box it came in for your cats to play in!

This is one of the best smokers I have ever used. Very well built and flawless operation

we love this! have only had it for a short time but have smoked pork butt, steaks, chicken boudin, jalapeños, shrimp and veggies. all turned out great! next we will be making home made jerky!

bought the wood pellet because curious about taste, psa i used to have a master built cheap propane smoker and it was cheap, and had issues so much i trashed it. This brand does a better job, i was worried when it came in beat up a few dents and scratches not sure how any co avoids this. assembly was fine, didnt take very long. First time cooked pull pork and boy everyone loved it. I loved the idea of glass but see how being able to see thru it will be a problem after a few times using it. Pork was great wasnt my usual propane bark darkness but still was buttery soft and eveeyone loved it. Cant wait for next weekend. if i could change something it would be adding handles for 2 ppl to carry this thing, its bulky and a little heavy for me.

The latch/handle wouldn't work together-hard to explain but both parts have a curl end that is supposed to mesh up to close the door. The latch curl is too big to fit in the handle curl and the latch adjustable part was hitting on the handle preventing the two curled parts from attaching to each other.

Pretty but spent an hour putting it together and doesn't work. Ordered from Walmart. com. After calling pit boss we figured out it's the augor motor. The young man who seemed very impatient said he could have a new motor sent out. Of course this was A day before Thanksgiving but I accepted that although I didn't know who was putting it in because he didn't offer that information. A week later I haven't gotten the motor. I called back and they said I should just return it. Also, no notes were put in, no motor was sent. Not really sure how I'm gonna do that (return) since it's heavy and the box is wet from being outside.

Bought this smoker March 31st. We absolutely LOVE this smoker and still do - even with our issue. Everything about the smoker was awesome the first 4-5 times we used it. We thoroughly cleaned the smoker out per the manual each and every time. Went to use it for the 5th or 6th time (in June) and realized whatever feeds the pellets (auger?) was not running whatsoever. Have been trying to contact the manufacturer (Pit Boss) SINCE JULY (!!!) to get a replacement part or replacement smoker. Online chat is unavailable; phone lines tell me to call back during business hours when I'm calling DURING BUSINESS HOURS; no e-mail; registered our smoker and made an account and tried to open a case that way - nope that's not happening either. The webpage when I click on Support Cases just takes me to their main website. Tried dealing with our local Wal-Mart (also back in July) who told us to call 1-800-Walmart or the manufacturer; basically said they couldn't help us. Now we are outside of our 90 days to get a refund or exchange the smoker through Wal-Mart and cannot get ahold of the manufacturer to use our 5 year warranty through them, meaning we're out $500! Find a smoker just like this one but where the manufacturer is able to be contacted if you're looking at purchasingi!!!
