Pit Boss Copperhead 7 Series Vertical Pellet Smoker - PBV7P1

Heavyweight and hi quality! I have smoked Italian sausage, St. Louis ribs, chicken wings, and beef brisket! All came out excellent.

This is the best smoker I've had yet. My 2nd smoker from Pit Boss, and I'm a huge fan. This thing is huge, maintains heat very well, and imparts a fantastic campfire flavor you just can't get from charcoal or gas. Warning, if you try this smoker, you'll never be satisfied with that kettle again.

Debated between a vertical and grill style smoker. Chose the vertical and glad I did. There is plenty of room for adjustability to this smoker. Besides its good looks it has adjustable shelves so you set your own shelf heights. Temp regulator is very accurate and holds well even in cool and wet conditions. Overall great product.

I bought the series 7 this past weekend and was a bit worried about some of the reviews. They were laid to rest. If you follow the instructions step by step, you should never have a problem with this unit unless you're hired by another company to leave a crappy review. I absolutely love this machine. I'm currently talking to several other people that are looking at getting a series 7 and they're are impressed with the one I have.

Nice smoker. Works good. My issue is the same as a lot of reviews I've read. Came wraped and crated really nice. Opened the box that showed no signs of real damage and the hopper grate and rear panel were badly dented. I straightened out the best i could, but still looks like crud. The door looks like its been reused. There are scratches in the surface and trim around the glass. Those had to have come from the manufacturer due to condition of the box. I would have sent it back, but it was already a week past delivery date and figured the next one would also be damaged. This is my second pit boss in the last 6 months. Last one, the digital display went bad and sent the temperature soaring while cooking a load of meat and fried the motherboard and ruined $70 of meat. im hoping that was a one off. I also bought the bigger unit with the electronics on the front bottom vs mid point on the side where it would get hot from the cooker. Like the product and will to give it a second chance. Quantity control needs to do a better job. We'll see if its worth the price.

The grill works great. The only issue that I have is the door is not really as good with the hinges but other than that, it works wonderful I recommend buying it.

Charlie's Smoke Wagon now has 6 Pit Boss vertical smokers in operation 2- 7 series, 2- 5 series and 2- 3 series. We have these smoker running 24 hours a day 7 days a week. As as any piece of equipment goes you will have issues with Temperature probes , augers and electronics. That's just part of it. Pit Boss has always been there to help, they have sent us parts asap. We have tested and used all other Brands and types of vertical smoker. Know your equipment, Charlie's Smoke Wagon now only uses Pit Boss products.

This was a Father's Day gift to my husband. He also owns a green egg smoker that we love! We tried chicken, ribs, and brisket I absolutely hated them. All the meat was tough. The top was red. We could not get the ribs to brown. I prefer a regular grill or a green egg smoker! If it wasn't his gift I would send it back!!!

Impossible to hold temperature due to gaps around the door. Bought this online from Walmart, tried to return it and they say to contact Pit Boss, Pit Boss says to contact Walmart. I'm stuck in a loop.

I'm very disappointed with this Pit Boss smart smoker. Since purchasing it, the unit has required multiple repairs and each time it only works temporarily before failing again. I have followed all troubleshooting steps provided by Pit Boss support, including cleaning the unit, relocating it to avoid environmental exposure, and performing resets. Despite this, the same issues keep returning. At this point it appears the unit may be defective. I would really appreciate Pit Boss reviewing this case and providing a permanent resolution such as a replacement rather than another repair.
