Bought this smoker for my husband's birthday. He absolutely LOVED it. Assembly was very easy and probably took 30mins. We smoked a Thors hammer and it was delish! I was worried about the smoke but it was very minor. I liked that some screws were already bolted to the smoker for easy installation. Would definitely buy again.
The Pit Boss Lexington Onyx is a superb smoker/grill. It is great for small families or with limited space. No complaints except the size is a little too small for my needs so I purchased the Pit Boss Savannah. I am keeping the Lexington as it is a great grill. Very satisfied with it.
I’m extremely happy with this pellet grill. I’ve only used it a couple times so I don’t know if my opinion will change in a month or a year but so far so good. I have a Traeger Woodridge Pro %26 a NexGrill Oakford but I wanted a pellet grill at my girlfriend’s but didn’t want to spend $1,000 because we aren’t there very often. The reviews on this were either 5 stars or 1 star. The one stars talked about it not working, how hard it was to put together, or how it was missing something. I felt it was easy and straightforward to put together. If you can have someone assist you to hold things while you assemble it that will make it easier. I did it by myself and had to skip the first steps and put the legs on the grill first. Just barely got the screws started then squeezed the shelf in between the legs. There wasn’t many steps to get it together. I got it out of the box and built in less than 45 minutes. If you power it on with no wood pellets in hopper it will give you an error code. Also priming it takes a second to get the pellets into the little fire chamber. This grill cooks just like my $1,000 pellet grills. It can roll some smoke too. It lacks some of the bells and whistles of the more expensive grills and lacks a few things upgrades to build quality that my expensive grills have but its still a high quality build and feel for the price. If you want a nice pellet grill and don’t want to spend nice pellet grill money this Lexington is the perfect pellet grill for you.
This is easily the best outdoor grill I have owned. I’ e had $20 grills and a $1,000 Green Egg. The Egg was great but wasn’t easy ((for me) to maintain a steady temperature. This grill is easy to assemble and is heavy. The gauge of steel used to make this unit is much thicker than I expected. My first cook was a rack of ribs that turned out great!
From the moment I unboxed the product, I was struck by its impeccable presentation and flawless condition. The meticulously crafted assembly instructions were a testament to user-friendly design, walking me through each step with remarkable simplicity and expert guidance. Constructed with superior materials and boasting a thoughtful engineering approach, the grill exceeded my expectations. What truly set this item apart was its exceptional value—delivering professional-grade quality at a significantly more attractive price point than comparable alternatives in the market.
I bought this for my husband as we were discussing a grill and a smoker, I explained to hi. the pit boss can do both plus a lot more. I assembled it, which was easy until you had to screw the barrel to the legs, they fit awkwardly and the instruction manual just had pictures of how to assemble it, no words. After quite awhile and some choice curse words, I got it together (one screw wouldn't go in all the way). We used it over the 4th of July week multiple times and with pellets of many different varieties. the steaks I first cooked came out juice and tender, no char marks but the steaks were great, even cooked the baked potatoes on the grill and they came out super tender! Then my husband cooked a brisket, omthe only flaw was on him but the cook was great. A few days after we made burgers. still trying to figure out the best placement of the food for certain things as all the burgers came out good, juicy and great taste, one came out super flame grilled (think BK), while the rest had some char marks. Next we will do chicken breast (bone in) and see how it does with that. the cooking is all testing of where to place the items for certain aspects. It is great though, easy to use, husband didn't pay attention when I was telling him it needs to be plugged in, that's the only ossue he has with it. But it's easy to start, easy to use.
I’m extremely happy with my Pit Boss Lexington 500 sq. in. Pellet Smoker. Setup was straightforward, and the build quality feels solid for the price point. The digital control board makes temperature management easy and consistent, which is perfect for both long, slow cooks and higher-heat grilling. The smoker produces excellent smoke flavor, and the 500 square inches of cooking space is more than enough for family meals or small gatherings. It heats up quickly, maintains temperature well, and delivers evenly cooked food every time. I’ve used it for ribs, brisket, chicken, and burgers—all with outstanding results. Overall, this smoker offers great performance, reliability, and value. It’s a fantastic option for anyone looking to step into pellet smoking or upgrade their outdoor cooking setup. Highly recommended!
I’m impressed with this pellet smoker. I got it for my husband for Christmas to make venison bacon. He chose to make it when it was -40°F in the great white north. We really expected it to have a hard time holding its temp, but with only a 20° drop from the set temp in subzero actual temps outside, it held strong. We’ve used it many times since in much warmer (but still cold temps) and it does amazing. Easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to clean. When it’s time for a new one, we’ll go bigger.
design engineer I would have put in time out if I could have gotten my hands on him. First thing when you unpack go to harware store and buy the A bolts stianless steel 1/2 in longer than what comes with the kit will save you lots of scraped knuckle, sore back and knees along with many se\tressful minutes trying to install the legs !
I purchased this smoker as a birthday present for my husband. It worked for maybe 3 sessions. No long smokes, literally grilled chicken and hot dogs. The grill refused to power on the next time we went to use it. We went through a series of troubleshooting. We flipped the breaker, plugged and unplugged, changed the fuse, etc.... No luck. I reached out to customer service, no response. Save your money and purchase from another brand. I understand that some product's have issues, but when you can't get them resolved after spending $300 dollars is insane. I definitely would not recommend this company or product.
