love my smoker, easy to put together.
The new design sets this grill apart from anything else on the market. It was easy to assemble and started right up with no problems. The built in prep station is really convenient as is the oven style grates. The easy access burn pot will make clean up as easy as it gets. I am excited to see how the chamber holds temp.
This thing is awesome! I have yet to use this one yet, Navigator 1300 Connect. Burnoff went smooth, kept its temp within 2-3 degrees the entire time. The app was smooth and connection was quick to my WiFi honestly.
Lifetime grill master and recent smoker. This is a great smoker for a stand alone smoker or companion to a gas|charcoal grill. Maintains consistent temperature throughout cooking time. Weather dropped around 40 degrees and was able to open up the flame cover with the vent control (1/4 inch) and PIT BOSS came up to temp quickly and stayed there within 5 degrees on each side of 280 degrees as I monitored with the APP. There are reviews stating issues with the APP and I have never had the wifi fail. It may depend on your proximity to the router. Love the multiple racks and the double probes. Makes everything easy peasy. I removed the pellet guard (maybe shouldn't have said this), so when the hopper is OFF, I can remove and/or replace pellets or vacuum them out for storage. Also makes it easy to level off pellets with a wooden spoon during the feed. Finally, the rack holders and shelving are well thought out. The biggest con is that the removable burn pot isn't very removable. I had to use a broom handle to leverage it out. Great fit, but not sure how "removable" it is. If considering a pellet smoker that can double as a grill - get this one. You will not be disappointed. Happy smoking/grilling.
Just bought a 1300. Made pig shots and ribs. Turned out great. Super easy process. Holds temp great. Love the WiFi too.
I have no regrets purchasing my Pit Boss Navigator 1300M pellet smoker. I am very satisfied with the temperature control, and the quality of the smoker as a whole. If I knew it was this easy to use I would have bought one ages ago. Even my spouse that refused to use previous smokers and barbecue grills loves the simplicity of this one.
Over 4 months with 8 cooks on it. Live in the southern states. Assembly was easy and manageable for one person. 20 degree difference left to right. The PID controller is excellent, maintaining 5 degree swings from set temperature. Probes are accurate from where they are placed. Wheel locks work well. LOVE the pull out shelves. The only negative is the WIFI and app. WiFi signal drops intermittently and the app will lock up on popular cookout holidays/days. This can be a real bummer if you are trying to rely on it.
Made steaks and OH MY great flavor! Keep having problems with wi fi signal (as have 3 friends) and its only 14 feet from wi fi router. Need to make side panels for the bottom where the screws and bolts are already at. So far i would by again.
I've been shopping for a new unit for about a year and finally settled on me Pit Boss Navigator 1300 because I thought the build quality looked great unfortunately after getting it home and opening the box I realized that there was a large scratch on the hood of the unit and it also the broiler lever doesn't seem to work the mechanism that holds the rod to the plate just doesn't hold it in place not to mention I just spent three hours trying to get it to connect to the app with no luck
Been waiting over 2 weeks on assembly and just got rescheduled again. I have never used store ass3mbly before, and never will again
