Tailgater upgrade
I love this pit! I've cooked on a pit boss tailgater for more than two years. And while it's a good pit, the ranch hand is my favorite. The pid controller is not big and fancy. It only comes with one meat probe port. But it's amazing how it holds temps. No need in worrying about flame outs. It just runs. Smoke setting is perfect rides at 180°. I enjoy baking in it just as much as smoking brisket, ribs, chicken or reverse searing a steak. For the price and what you get i'd buy this one over the tailgater. Comes with wire rack under the barrel for storage. A side shelf that has three hangers for cooking utensils, and a bottle opener. And yes it has the upper cooking grate included. That alone is $50 if you order it from pit boss.

We love this grill! We've grilled steaks, chicken and pork chops so far and all of them have turned out juicy and delicious

Best grill for the price no regrets ,I wasn't convinced we would know how to cook on it but it's super easy

Cooks anything.
A nice balance of portable but big enough to good full meals. Very impressed. I have cooked everything from slow smoked ribs to cinnamon rolls and everything was delicious.

LITTLE AWESOMENESS
This little grill is Awesome!!!! Easier to fire this up for small cooks that the Austin Xl or the Pro 1600 that doesn't work right!!!

Broken parts and damaged box.
This is my 4th Pit Boss and I've loved them all until today. I like the set up but it came in a damaged box and one of the parts was broken. I contacted Walmarts customer service but they never responded. I offered to send pictures but they still didn't respond.

I am disappointed
The pros first: 1.heats to about 550 2. has enough space in grill to cook supper for a family of five. 3.The shelves r a nice feature
