Love this unit best decision and compared to others.
We have had ours for little over a year. No issues from assembly to multiple cooks to date. Cleanup is so easy after every cook. If I were to be picky, I would say the blue light ring on the burner knobs has been cutting in and out for couple of the knobs for us BUT it does not change the cooking experience at all.
I purchased this griddle a little more than 2yrs ago and it has been phenomenal!! I did have an initial issue with one of the burner nacklights not working and they sent me out a new know with backlight immediately, no problem at all. Every time Father's Day /Mother's Day approaches I always think of what a great gift this made for me. ****There is a current issue however, I do need a new 5 burner cooktop and cannot get one anywhere and this is not available in the current parts list. I have not been able get assistance with this thus far so any help would be appreciated!!
Seems to work so far. Wish the foil for the grease tray was easier to come by locally, and the other big things after the 3rd cook... One of the blue lights already doesn't work .... This thing is heavy and I don't want to have to return it over this small things to exchange.
All good so far. Purchased yesterday , assembly took about 2 hrs with a second set of hands. Some instructions were a bit vague in a few spots but all in all not to bad. Used it for breakfast this morning did a great job cooking bacon, sausage, hash browns and eggs. Looking forward to using the smoker.
Love being able to prepare my main dish and the sides on my griddle cooktop. Watched many videos to educate me on how to use it and this helped greatly. I made some mistakes that were not a big problem, and learned from them. (First breakfast I flipped an egg right into the grease cup!). Very happy so far.
I bought this griddle because of the ceramic cook top. Much easier to clean. For the price though, I feel the metal frame is extremely thin and flimsy. Mine came bent in two different places. I was able to straighten back out and still assemble the product, just feel like for the price I shouldn't have to do this. Overall I enjoy cooking on this thing.
I bought this model PB5BG9D2 model at Lowe's, I was happy with everything, easy to assemble, appearance and versatility, however I only used it once and after use follow safe cleaning instructions. The next day I was going to use it again and found that the protection coat of the hot plate was peeling off in multiple small areas. I immediately called customer support, got connected with an agent who informed me that the griddle is still functional and basically there was nothing he could do. I would love to hear from someone that can help me. Regards, Fulmin Almonte
If you care about food contamination, I would not recommend this griddle. The surface comes off in the food and you need to use plastic spatulas which melt from the heat. I've had food stick as well and already replaced the top once. I wish I could replace with a steel top but they don't offer that.
I have the stick free coated top which does stick and it comes off in the food contaminating it. You have to use plastic tools since metal will scratch the surface. The griddle melts the tools which further contaminates the food. I don't want to cook with it any more since I know it is putting really harmful plastics in the food. I want to change the top to steel without the coating but they don't have it. I already replaced it once since the coating was coming off. I don't recommend this griddle I am going to get a new steel one without the coating.
