I LOVE this Printer. I had an HP for well over a decade and it finally decided it was time to retire on me. It was a multi-function one as well, I was hoping HP still had one like it, but not the same model and more expensive, which is to be expected after over a decade. I came across this Canon, which is what we used at my job and they are great printers. This one is for my home, and it's the perfect size, I have mine on a nightstand table. It has all the bells and whistles I need, copy/print/scan probably a couple others but I only use those 3. It's also wireless, like it states and for me that's a bonus. I have it set up to my desktop in my room and my son has it linked to his laptop in another room in another part of the home and it prints from his room. He does not have to come to my room to connect and print, so the wireless range is solid. It was also easy to set up. It was on sale when I purchased it, and with taxes it was under $90 bucks, which after having it for a couple months is well worth it.
Canons top notch , love the bottom load paper tray
I am loving my printer so very much I could cry at how fast it prints and how very easy it was to set up. This is my 3rd printer in 2 years, so I am incredibly happy with this printer.
The printer is really bare bones but fits my infrequent printing needs. The only drawback I've found is no auto paper feed. When I'm making copies I have to manually place each piece of paper on the platen. If it's more than one (1) page, it gets a little time consuming. Even the very basic 8-year old Canon printer this replaced had auto feed.
I had to purchase a new printer because my old, perfectly good, one was not compatible with my computer being upgraded. I like the new one. I was not told though, it didn't come with a USB connection cord as it is for my desktop which is not on WIFI. It was a challenge to find the right fit, as my old one didn't fit either! However, it works well and am liking it now.
The printer performs how one would expect the typical home all-in-one to work. However, the set up is very frustrating. Hint: "Optional" does not mean optional, you HAVE to allow data to be sent through the Canon app for set up to work. If I knew that in advance, I would not have purchased it, because I do not like being restricted like that.
It was supposed to be easy to connect to Wi-Fi, but after a day and a half of trying to get it to work, AFTER it was working previously, I gave up. I am not technically challenged. I know a lot, so I did everything I could, but I still couldn't connect it, so I returned it.
Set up was easy. Black and white is perfect. Nightmare on color. Ran at least ten copies and every one has weird color. I should be able to plug and play without going through some procedure that I DID NOT FIND IN INSTRUCTIONS. Your tech people should be able to send these machines out so I do not have to do anything but hit the color print and it comes out perfect. Still can't use color feature. Very disappointed!
It only works 20% if the time . Never stays connected
I have used and loved Canon Pixma printers for probably fifteen years, but not this model. Cheap plastic parts. Connecting to WiFi on this model was so confusing and unsuccessful that we put it back in the box and returned it.
