A GREAT FAMILY MOVIES WITH THIS SPECIAL EDITION ... INCLUDING IN "BOOK STYLE". BLU-RAY MAKES EVERY THING SO CLEAR AND SHARP THE KIDS THOUGHT THEY WERE IN THE WATER AND LAND EPISODES TOO..... THANK YOU FOR MAKING A FAMILY FRIENDLY BLU-RAY DVD.

Great series for adults and children
I got this series mainly because I love these educational documentaries. I also want my son to grow up interested in the sciences. The narration is excellent, although I prefer Sigourney Weaver and Liam Neeson more, David Attenborough is a great narrator. The visuals and camera work is excellent. If you are on the fence about purchasing this, let this review nudge you over and make the purchase.

What you see is what you get
This is a pretty good price for the entire BBC series (plus some "special edition" footage. BUT I would say that this is not a "Gift Set". Typically a gift set has a collectible model/toy/poster etc... but in this case, what you see is what you get. This is the standard 6-disk special edition that is being sold by several different retailers.
