Compared to all the other flimsy plastic garbage totes or boxes out there. I'm really impressed with the quality of this. I see there is a Marine Grade version for like 40 dollars but the ONLY difference is the little rubber gasket/seal in the lip of the box - You can add your own for less than a dollar. That is, if you even need it to be WATER PROOF. - Rain or splash won't even get in as long as it's shut and locked. I will be buying more of these for sure.

This 56-qt. container is a fantastic tote at a an unbelievable low price. Just purchased my third PLANO tote (also got 2 68qt. ones) and I plan on buying more for around the house and trunk of car. Real sturdy,heavy duty totes!

I use this to store my car camping kitchen supplies and it has seen two years of use. It's tough, the lid fits well, and it's a good size for an extra seat.

The weight is deceiving. It is MUCH stronger than it feels and can be used as a seat, even when empty. The deep lip around the lid makes it quite water resistant. If left it outside in heavy rain for several days with no leakage of any kind. It is easy enough to make it waterproof by adding a 3/8" rubber seal to the lid. Will be ordering more for general storage and for tongue box on a small trailer.

This is a great trunk. I use mine for camping so I can at least leave out my seasonings and canned items during the day without having a lot of smell escape attracting racoons to my camp. At night I put it away to be on the safe side but it is somewhat tamper proof.

We've gotten these tubs to replace our Rubbermaid Action Packers for our camping gear. By comparison, and the reasons why we switched are, the Plano's (1) hold more storage than the Action Packers, (2) have a better latching / locking system, and (3) have fitting grooves on the lid that make them stackable. These cases met my needs for tough storage of smaller items. I use these to store camping gear that would otherwise tumble around in the cargo area. I have also used these trunks to bring gear and electronics to the beach while keeping sand out. I bought this for my new SUV, and it is great in that it stores everything, but being black like the interior it is not very noticeable. I just wish it had a gripper bottom so as not to slide around as much. We did put a cable around it and secured it to the side of the SUV. Otherwise a great product. Very sturdy and well built.

For the price it is good but I was expecting something a little more heavy duty. Example thicker walls and bottom.
