Great taste, delicious lots of crunch with what pieces I could find among the ground ones. but the items is very pricey for amount in container. There may have been a lot of settling because it was more ground crumbs than actual half and pieces in container. However the taste was so good. If pieces aren't ground in container this makes a great vacationing snack to help with cravings.
Fathers Day gift from our three adorable cats to my son-in-law. Due to allergies, it is the only nut he can eat. They are fresh, safely packaged for delivery and prompt! Cats names are Larry, Curly, and Moe and they plan on ordering more for his upcoming birthday!
I rebelled against the price increase of these Planters Cashews for as long as I could, until the day My Husband brought home a container of grocery store cashews, they were terrible. I never thought there could be a bad cashew, but the chalky taste of the store brand taught me otherwise. After I got my same day delivery of my Planters Cashews. I gave the other ones away!
I am a huge fan of Planters because the nuts (any variety) are always quality, fresh and extremely tasty. I have to pace myself, especially when I buy them for recipes, just like these cashews, because I want to snack on them and then I won't have enough for my recipes! lol
I have always loved cashews. My next favorite is pecans. Peanuts hurt my gums. Now if only I could get the cashews and pecans together would be nice. Also more salt. The cashews could have used a little more salt.
Ordered salted cashews but they were not salted very much. Had to look and make sure they said salted. But everything is okay. We will check on the next cashew order.
I side-by-side compared this item with Medallion Roasted and Salted Cashews, also available online and shipped from WalMart. Planters: - slightly but noticeably softer texture (that is: less crunchy than a typical Planter's roasted peanut) - very lightly salted - slightly more expensive Medallion: - crunchy like a peanut - tasty level of salt - slightly cheaper Now: the "crunchiness" difference didn't affect my preference one way or the other. The Medallion brand is not *too* hard, and the Planter's brand is not too soft...but the difference is noticeable. However, the saltiness *did* affect my preference. The Medallion tastes better in my opinion, solely based on the saltiness, and it also comes at a better price. But the Planter's are still very good, make no mistake!
Crisp..But Taste bland..great price if you like them ..If you love cashews and are picky about taste..these are not for you..will not buy again (possible I got the one jar that if not so good) Too expensive to chance it . Great value organic cashews and reg whole cashews are so much better..and at a good price
I bought these by accident when shopping in a hurry. I thought I was buying the usual whole ones. But the halves and pieces really turned out to not be a big deal to me. The majority of the ones in this container were big enough pieces to pick up individually, just like the whole ones. The issue here is that despite offering reduced salt, lightly salted and sea salt versions of their whole and halved cashews, Planters seems to have decided for us that we all want less salt. (Rude.) I mean, I appreciate their concern for our sodium levels but it's something that I think I can decide. (As can you, unless you like the level of sodium they used for years.) They've provided plenty of options for those who like/need/want less salt. So please, just give me the salt that I obviously want? Obvious because I'm buying the full salt versions. Prompts from the site. Crunchy? Yes. Jar? Yes. Clear plastic with a screw on lid. Which I think does keep them fresher than the plastic lids on their cardboard containers. (But I swear the cardboard containers have more salt! A real ‘Sophie's Choice' huh? 😂) (If they go quickly at your house, you can ignore this next part.) But I've yet to find any of their packaging up to the task of keeping my cashews fresh from start to finish. Keep in mind that I'm one person eating them over weeks, or longer, at a time.. For Parties? Sure. But you might want to splurge and get the whole ones to avoid pieces getting dropped in your venue but if it's not a concern? Perfect. Sweetness? Hmm. Kind of a personal opinion thing, to me. I find cashews to have a bit of a creamy mouthfeel and perhaps a slightly sweet flavor but I would not describe them as sweet to anyone. Hope this helps!
Second purchase of this item. First purchase cashews were great, this purchase I'm afraid to eat them. What are those black and brown spots? There are piecesb that look like they've day outside for months!
