My PS5 is nothing short of a marvel. Ever since unboxing it, I've been stacking up downloads like a kid in a candy shop—but it isn't just about the library, it's about how flawlessly the system performs. Paired with my Vizio Quantum Pro 4K, it feels like I'm not just playing games, I'm stepping inside them. From the wild, untamed beauty of Horizon Zero Dawn to the serene yet deadly landscapes of Ghost of Tsushima, every pixel shines like it was hand-painted. The details don't just pop; they breathe. It's been a long while since I last held a PlayStation controller in my hands, but this? This is a reunion worth the wait. A reminder of why I fell in love with gaming in the first place.
You not missing anything if you already have the PS5.. only get it if u have an 8k tv or tv with high refresh rate for gaming. Only difference you can tell is if you have the tv for it. Everything runs smoothly just no BIG difference.
Pretty long review, slide at the end for a TL;DR version of it In terms of overall power for a gaming console, the PS5 Pro does deliver in that front. The specs are better, ray tracing has its improvements, and the inclusion of the exclusive upscaler PSSR helps enhanced most games to better image quality alongside still mostly maintaining the high framerates that most people prefer. The list of games that are pro enhanced was admittedly small back at launch, but it has gained some more options overtime and for the most part, benefits from the pro. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Stellar Blade looks and performs amazingly with the pro, Marvel Rivals has near stable 120 fps, and playing Spiderman with the combination of upscaled 4k and the high framerates of 120 fps never felt so clean. There are some games that do perform/look worse on the pro unfortunately, Silent Hills 2 at launch had so many flickering on the textures that somehow makes the base PS5 look better in comparison and Jedi Survivor at Pro launch had so many image issues. Despite this, for the most part, the pro enhanced games do benefit from the improvements and the games that don't use pro enhancements still benefit from the CPU upgrade, especially with dynamic resolution now hitting above or at 1440p in intensive moments instead of close to 1080p. With these upgrades, it may sound like a no brainer to upgrade, but this is a double edge sword moment for this console. The elephant in the room here is the price tag of $750 (at the time when I bought it, it was $700). Its a very steep price when compared to the base PS5 and its $450/550 range. And for whatever reason, there's no disc drive as its sold separately for $80 and in the case you prefer your console vertically, the stand will cost $30, overall making it $860 if you really need all those accessories. And with the RAM situation going on (as of 01/14/26) it may even go higher. Another issue is that its really meant for 4K TVs and/or monitors since the Pro's benefits are mainly meant for 4K. Anyone with 1080p or even 1440p (depending on certain games) are still better off with the base PS5 as its still powerful for those resolutions with high framerates. If you're looking for a powerful console that has some of the benefits that gaming PCs have, this is a good console to buy for that. If you already have a base PS5, I recommend looking at the list of enhanced games before you decide if you should buy or not. If you don't like steep prices, go for the base model. If you don't a 4K TV/monitor, the benefits won't really stand out. If you like buying physical games, really keep the disc drive situation in mind before you buy. TL;DR: The current most powerful system that mostly delivers with a steep price to keep in mind
I only played it for about an hour but I don't have a newer TV I only have HDMI 4K 60 but I can see the difference It looks better but I am going to buy a better TV and look great on The things that I do not like it did not come with a stand that you can a vertical stand anyway and for the price it should have came with the disc drive as well. So by the time you buy the stand and the disc drive and tax all together you are paying $900 for the system and for that they should have gave us the pro controller
once again, last time I bought my PS5 from Walmart, it was delivered in a wet box, the PS5 packaging was damaged by the water. Yesterday I received PS5 pro and the seal was open, I havent tried the console yet but I will send it back at the first sign of fault since it's not a NEW product i received
This purchase on My account was FRAUD! It was purchased online in Arizona and picked up in Florida by a person that is not anywhere close to my name stolen from the store and Walmart would not refund my money I had to go to my bank which I had to cancel my card and get a new one and then get the money back from my bank! it was a huge purchase that was not verified by Walmart.
I'm very disappointed with this PS5. After about 1 hour of playing EA SPORTS FC, the console starts lagging and freezing badly. The gameplay becomes very slow, buttons delay, and sometimes the game almost stops responding. I've checked my internet connection and storage, and everything is fine. This issue happens consistently every time I play for around an hour, which makes the console almost unusable for gaming. I expected much better performance from a PS5. This is frustrating and not acceptable for a next-gen console. I would like a solution, repair, or replacement.
Walmart gave me an opened ps5 pro and then gave me the hardest time to exchange it for a sealed one. After hassling with them because AFTER they gave me a sealed one, they then tried to take it back and say I had to go through the refund process and purchase it again. I purchased through Affirm, so my refund wouldn't be immediate and it wouldnt work as if I had did a cash transaction. Eventually they took my number and told me to leave and they would call if any issues came up. Well…. They let me leave and then called the police and said I stole it. I had to re box and return everything to avoid criminal charges. At the end of the day we both lost…. They gave me an opened ps5 pro box, and in return I gave them an opened ps5 back. I settled for the first original one that I received OPENED. I'm sorry but as a paying customer I expect a sealed product. Sad that it came to that. Over all a HORRIBLE experience.
I can't really tell you much about this item because I didn't actually get it.It's one of the many items Walmart allowed to be purchased and picked up in a fraudulent order in Los Angeles using my credit card (I live in Missouri)!!!!! Along with another $1700 worth.
