I only wear Playtex bras. This bra fits little smaller in cup compared to the 18 hour bra. This gives a rounded look whereas the 18 hour gives a more pointy look. I love both. BTW this bra compresses just a tad so I get 1 inch less around bust which works great when I wear clothes a little tight in bust. I wear 36dd in all my Playtex bras.
I have found the bra very comfortable and true to size. And have ordered it several times because I really like how it looks. Washes in machine fine and dries safely in dryer. Definitely recommend.
I am 78 years old %26 I have been wearing the same style Playtex 18-hour bra for around 65 years. For the first time I have found not one but two that fit better, both styles are Playtex 18 hour, but with the shaped, no-seam cups. They hold the D-sized girls where they belong with a smooth round silouette. No more zipping them in the slacks when I dress. 78 years old? D cup? You betcha that can happen. Thank you Playtex for putting parts of me back where they belong.
I never buy bras online as I rarely find one in store that fits, so buying online really is a gamble. Due to having knee issues I cant go traipsing through the store so I decided to look for something online anyhow and I came across this one. I liked the fact that it had the style of a sports bra (higher on the chest) because the ones I own don't keep the girls where they belong. In case you're wondering why I just don't put a sport bra over my original bra, this isn't an option for me. Its a fight that the sports bra wins at every time. It also makes me feel like Im suffocating. After reading numerous positive reviews I decided to take a chance and purchased it. I have to say Im extremely pleased. Its a little stiff and Im even ok with that as long as nothing is pinching anywhere (and it didnt, once it was on it was very comfortable). The issue I was wondering about the negative comments. 1.. Complaints about how sheer it is and they wouldn't wear it outside their house?! 2. The straps are not as adjustable as they should be. When I looked I thought the same thing until I actually had it on. The last thing a larger busted women wants is the girls to be flopping with every step. They didn't dig in at all. 3. The back hook and eye was too scratchy. It will be if you're not putting the extra fabric under it to smooth it out. Any bra will do that, I know. 3. The stitching was poking and itching them? I felt nothing but comfort except like I said the stiffness because its new. Even if stays on the stiffer side that would be fine too, I would then know that its still going to give me the support and comfort I bought it for. 4. The band in the cup area where a wire would normally be. You shouldn't feel this if the size you bought was correct. I ordered up the one size like it said and didn't go by their recommendations. I normally wear a 36DDD so I ordered a 38DDD and its a perfect fit. That band laid flat and didn't need adjusting of any kind. I totally understand that one bra doesn't fit all and that someone is going to find fault in their purchase. Im not that person. I love this bra and if things go well after doing physical therapy tomorrow (the girls stay put) then Ill be buying at least one more!!
This is the most comfortable bra I've ever had, and I've been wearing them for almost 60 years. Maybe I'm just terrible at buying undies, but I don't think so. It gives comfy support and there's no binding discomfort around the torso. It can definitely be worn 18 hours.
so I got the wrong size, BUT its still a really nice bra and with a bra extender I could tell that if it were the right size it would be perfect. the shoulder bands are nice and I like how thick the side bands are (and the cooling on the bottom band is extremely helpful)
I've been on a weight loss journey, going from an 18/20 to a loose 14 over the past six months... So it was times to buy some bras that better fit me as I am now. Previously I only wore somewhat expensive bras from Lane Bryant, but I don't have the budget to do that right now, plus I'm still losing weight, so I decided to buy a few inexpensive styles from Walmart. I bought 2 Fruit of the Loom styles, one Playtex, and one Vanity Fair. This Playtex bra feels good, the straps are comfortable, and it offers great support. But it runs a bit small. I bought 5 bras in 4 styles from 3 different brands -- and this is the only one that I had to immediately add a band extender to. On the up side, maybe this one will fit longer as I continue to lose weight, so I'm keeping it. But I would suggest trying this bra on in-store before ordering online.
I've already reviewed this item, but this time I ordered a 44D instead of a 42D (the size that I usually wear). It fits perfectly and I love that it doesn't have bulky padding. I've already ordered 3 more. I'm very happy with my purchases now. The price was fantastic as well.
The bras are great except the stiching on one of them came undone after the first week. Now I just have to find my reciept to see if I can return and exchange.
Despite the adjustable padded shoulder straps, the padding doesn't cover enough of the strap. So unless you have the straps at the tightest possible option, then the padding doesn't actually rest on your shoulder and a rough edged seam sits at the shoulder instead. Very uncomfortable.
