Just put it in and things seem to be going well so far. Because it is summer I haven't had to use it yet.
I bought the blower for my gas fireplace a few weeks ago. Wow!!! What a huge difference with keeping my house warm and distributing heat throughout. It's so quiet too. Also got a discount so it was cheaper than I thought. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
i bought this little blower a month ago and have to say i disagree with alot of reviews i have read..I love it! it serves its purpose and is not as loud as others have said. the variable speed is huge imo, heats my room perfectly
Blower works great!!
Blower for the fireplace works great. Can run manually or on automatic. I use automatic. The fireplace works on the temperature you select, shutting on and off as needed. So the fan works as needed. No need to be running when not needed, saving wear and tear and wasted power.
This blower services a gas fireplace that doubles as a TV stand. Naturally, we were concerned about not only how effectively it would function for circulating the warm but also how much noise it would make when running that might interfere with our favorite sport, watching TV. It circulates the air very well and runs so quietly that, in the beginning, we would check whether it was running at all. Excellent! And a snap to install.
I bought this about a month ago and it is very quiet. I haven't had a chance to fully use it because the weather hasn't been cold enough. The one criticism I have is the instructions for connecting the fan wiring to the toggle switch is different than the pleasant hearth company set of instructions. This should be corrected. Regards, Larry
The fireplace is lovely and works properly, now. First, we received two left side panels, no right side panel in the box. I called Pleasant Hearth and they sent the right panel within a week. We had the propane company come and hook up a tank and test the fireplace. It worked for them, but after they left and we tried to turn it on, it did not work. After reading some reviews we found out that the knob is temperamental and you have to have it pushed in at just the right position or it won't ignite. It is working now and providing a beautiful warm atmosphere to our home. Hang in there if you have problems. It will eventually be a worthwhile purchase.
By adding the blower to the gas stove, we definitely have noticed a reduction in our utility bill. It makes a slight bit of noise (similar to a blow dryer on a low setting) which is to be expected from a fan. Well worth the money.
This blower is a joke and ABSOLUTE waste of money. I seen more air movement from a child blowing out their Birthday cake. DO NOT BUY!!!!
