Natural Gas Fireplace
We have a natural gas fireplace and still needed to buy this piece separate as not part of fireplace kit Does not work as weep as our previous unit which we finally replaced after almost 20 years [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It isn't simple and safe without modifications
The pilot and thermocouple is easy to light but the mounding position is too far from the main burner in a vented fireplace. If you wait for the propane gas to reach the pilot there will be a very large flash fire that will burn your eyebrows if you are anywhere near if it ignites. The only way to lite it safely was place a burning match on the main burner and turn the value on as it describes in a natural gas set up. I not sure what the best way would be to modified it were it would work like most propane burner with a thermocouple to be easy and safe?
