We use inside the trash can lid.
They stick pretty well and our trash bins get emptied by a robotic arm on the trash truck, and it's pretty rough on the bins. These really help control odors from the trash. We bag everything before it goes into the bin, but the odors can still get pretty bad. These little stick-ons really help.

It sticks to the garbage can lid without falling off. I can't find these in stores anymore or anything like it so I'm glad I found these!
