After years of fighting with universal-fit IEMs, I think I may have stumbled onto a market gap that the music industry still hasn't fully addressed. I recently bought these contractor-grade foam stereo earplugs rated at 29dB NRR as a deliberate experiment; essentially a step before attempting my own DIY solution. The result was unexpectedly effective. What stood out was not some magical IEM driver technology. The drivers themselves are probably closer to standard consumer earbud quality. I don't need the ultimate audiophile sound experience when I'm playing with the band; I just need to clearly hear the vocalist, bass, my own guitar, and the other guitarist. That said, the sound experience is surprisingly excellent. The bass response is rich for such simple earbuds, and the treble is crisp and balanced without sounding harsh. For me, hearing protection is the bigger priority, and these do an outstanding job reducing the rim shots and cymbal crashes that come with live rock performance. The key difference is the insertion depth, seal, comfort, and isolation geometry. Without spending very large amounts of money on custom-molded IEMs, universal-fit options are limited, and I've personally struggled to achieve a reliable seal. These earbuds include both silicone and foam tips, though the foam tips come installed by default. They are very similar to the foam earplugs you might wear on a job site, but unlike most foam IEM tips, these are elongated, allowing for deeper insertion. The foam is also softer and more pliant than typical headphone foam tips, which delays expansion in the ear canal and results in an exceptionally secure fit. The product also includes: • A convenient carrying case; a short wide-mouth plastic jar with a twist-off lid • A pair of silicone tips • A USB-C smartphone adapter that works great with later-model iPhones and iPads If you are just getting started with IEMs, are budget conscious, or are simply frustrated with your current universal-fit solution, these are absolutely worth trying.
They fit in my ears. They stay in place. They sound great.
I bought plug in earbuds and I got Bluetooth earbuds.
They are awesome I love them! My bosses talk to me everyday and don't even realize I'm wearing Earbuds They just see ear plugs. Plus they work amazing for ear plugs blocking out sounds.
Love em. Have several pairs in my locker at work in case I forget em. Wouldnt get through my workday without em!!
great product loud and comfortable
These work quite nicely with good sound! The ad is lists the wrong db its actually 29db not 26, so nice surprise lol. The tips get dirty easily and they're hard to clean without decreasing their lifespan (I use rubbing alcohol) but the replacement tips aren't too expensive so it works out well enough for me
It doesn’t work for Webex. Not for phone calls either. I would expect the phone mic will be used but the headphones had no sound. Good, actually very good, if using only to listen to YouTube.
