PNY is my preffered micro sd card brand. ove bought others and none compare. the only others i will by are the ONN micro sd cards but only if they are on sale and are a fraction the price of the PNY's. if the PNY is a couple bucks more or same price ill pick them. dont get ke wrong theres not mich of a difference in a lot of the brands but these have always been reliable for me and process quick.
I ordered this thinking I was getting a deal. Buyer beware. The card is fast enough in sequential writes, but the IOP operations fall short of the the standard claimed. The first image is from the product description showing: 500/1500 IOPS MINIMUM The second image shows where the card fails to achieve those numbers. (This is a Raspberry Pi diagnostic, my Linux 'Disks' test was even worse [but I suspect that was due to cad enclosure/reader] The sequential write speeds are consistently good, but the IOPS fall short. I ran the benchmark 3 times, and each time the numbers were similar.
worst fake ever. these are not 256GB. they are 10.93GB in a LAB SITUATION. totally a fake ripoff. i had hoped for old A1 speed backstock for cheap. no! totally fake. i tested 3 of the TWELVE i bought and returned. TOTAL RIPOFF. go ahead, try it yourself. 10.93GB NOT 256GB. terrible.
I was sent the wrong item. I ordered a 256gb and was sent a 128gb. Then it seemed like I had to jump through hoops to get a refund. I am not a fan of how Walmart does not back the consumer when dealing with 3rd party sellers. Its not the customers fault and if its sold on your site, you should have some kind of responsibility. As a contractor, the final product is on me, not the subs. The same should apply here.
Seller shipped a card with 29G of storage (was supposed to be 128G). After inserting the card in my security camera and attempting to format, I was informed that the card was fake and could not be used. Subsequent attempts to format the card on a Win 10 PC also failed and the capacity was listed as only 29G.
Clearly a fake, the card started failing almost immediately after adding data onto it. When i returned it the clerk told me that was the second one she saw returned that day which confirmed it. Do NOT buy. If a deal seems to good to be true, it probably is, especially with electronics...
They sent me the wrong size that's 1 and i think the wrong size sd card which is 128 gb is actually correct either cause it just stops copying file at a certain point usually after 17 gb. It's probably fake idk but i am running tests to see if it is fake or not.
Bought this to load videos onto for car tablet for kids. All videos test played on computer, then transferred to SD card. Only about 6% of them would play, so completely reformatted the card - the slow way - to default settings. Again, only about 12-15 movies would play. Appeared to be bad sectors not fixed by reformatting. I'm returning this %26 don't recommend buying, although I have successfully bought and used similar looking PNY sd cards. This one was clearly not the same - a knock off?
Firstly, the wrong product was delivered. 256Gb was ordered, 128GB was delivered. Secondly, the product is incapable of utilizing more than about 50% of the rated storage capacity (*regardless of partition type (or file system attempted). NOT a good deal. Very unsatisfied with this "shady" purchase.
It's clearly a counterfeit product. I've bought PNY products before and I've never been disappointed. The actual storage value was far below the advertised amount, the write speed was laughable, and there was a poorly printed label on top. Thank you to the delivery driver for being professional, thanks to Walmart for making the return process easy, and disappointment that Walmart didn't do due diligence in vetting a third party seller.
