PNY 1TB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive - 400MB/s

The drive has a lot of space. On my slowest computer with old USB tech it was only getting about 20 MB/s. On my faster computers I was getting read speeds over 300 MB/s and writes over 250 MB/s through a USB 3.0 hub. I tossed a 7zip file That was almost exactly 1 GB back and forth and it takes about 3 seconds to read and 5 seconds to write. I put my entire digital music collection on it and played it without any problems. I copied some game capture videos to it and those played flawlessly from the flash drive as well. It works great. The drive has sort of a sleeve that covers the plug. It actually feels pretty hefty and well built. I have some faster flash drives but they don't hold nearly as much and they are not as beefy. If you have some critical data that you can't afford to lose this drive seems like a good place to put it.

I received this product from the Spark Reviewer program. The PNY 512GB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive definitely has a lot of speed and goes beyond the maximum amount of storage then I am use to having. This makes it so convenient when having large files that need to be stored, I am able to make different folders with labels of documents, pictures, video's and so much more with enough space for all. The design is stylish and made very easy to transfer from computer to laptop. My overall thoughts this functions and performs well, exceptional performance, transfers and stores large documents, Is compatible with USB 3.0 equipped PC and MAC desktop and laptop computers, made with good quality and durability that will last a long time!

Back up your precious photos and store them somewhere safe! This thing is so tiny, but has a huge capacity! I have saved a backup of my wedding album and kids baby photos on it with room to spare. Dropped it into our fire safe and now I know our treasured memories are safe !

This PNY brand Flash Drive has a rated 256G bytes of user available storage which should handle almost any big job of data transfer. It also is very fast at 4000MB/s, USB 3.1 for transferring movies, videos photos and large files compared to the USB 2.0 which is 80 times slower than this drive Sleek slide case that protects the USB connection and can be thrown in your suitcase, purse, pocket etc. without harming it. Compatible for most any Windows system and Mac OS 8.6 and later. A two year warranty adds to the appeal of this Flash Drive and would definitely recommend this for anyone searching for lots of storage on their device.

Just got this the other day and it was fast and easy to transfer everything I needed and was the right storage size for my needs. I have heard others say they do not last so not sure but hope they are wrong. If it dies I will try to write an update.

Because of this product I was able to replace all my current flash drives (of 1-4 GB storage) with this one and still have sooooo much space left. Installing was quick and easy, copying took only few minutes and I can have all my photos and movies backed up in this one small, portable drive. Slick, modern design - I am very happy with it!

I got the PNY 256GB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive because I needed a drive that could hold large files for transferring between computers. The USB 3.0 has super fast write/read speeds and the PNY 256GB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0. I believe the housing for this drive is aluminum and it seems to be made very well and should protect the drive from any damage. The key ring slot is also sturdy and appears that it will hold up longer than your average flash drives and not break. The flash drive is also designed to stay open or closed when in either position... kinda locks into place and doesnt slide easily. I like how the drive is thin as it can be put into any side by side USB slot. Some USB devices are bigger than they should be which can interfere with one another but the PRO Elite is perfect in size. Overall, the PNY 256GB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive is worth the investment.

What can I say, it's a 256GB flash drive by PNY. PNY is a good brand. 256GB is A LOT of storage. This is a lot of storage in a little device. If you are needing a bunch of storage but don't want a chunky external hard drive, this is your answer. With the world today, you need as much storage space as you can, everything is electronic.

Great capacity for a relatively small sized flash drive. Transfer rates not fast, but not too slow either. All in all a super flash drive and good value.

This is an excellent USB Thumbdrive! Just make sure you are using a USB 3.0 or higher to fully take advantage of its close to a SATA SSD Read and Write Speeds! I was able to write up 365GB of 4k content to this USB Thumbdrive in 10 minutes on USB 3.0 I also tried it again under USB 2.0 and unfortunately it took 72 hours to do the same exact thing. When it came to reading the 365GB of 4k content to my PC under USB 3.0 it only took 1 minute and 10 seconds to load up 365GB of 4k videos to my PC. When I did the same test with USB 2.0 it took 5.5 hours. So again it is indeed USB 2.0 backwards compatible but it is super slow and you won't really get the full benefits of this drive. My only issue was that instead of getting close to the 512GB of memory, my drive only had 461GB which is 51GB less then advertised, that's why I deducted 1 star. If it was just 20GB or less then it would be a full 5 star rating But I still highly recommend it! This is pretty close to a SATA SSD speeds out of a USB drive. Just a little warning. It gets HOT if you transfer alot of Data at one time like I did. But cools down after about 20 minutes or so.
