Pointer Premium Colored Pencils, 12 Count, Bright Colors, Pre-Sharpened, Storage Tin

These are some very good colored pencils. You have to maintain certain pressure to adjust for saturation, but you have to use a lot less than you would for general colored pencils. You get just a few colors in here but they're all very nice. I don't think the black and brown and earthy tones have ever been described as bright colors, but they're good to have available. They cover pre-sharpened. The colors are numbered, but not named. This is fine by me, but if you need to teach your kids the names of the colors you may want to skip this box. The metal container is very nice. The hinged door is sturdy and it clicks strongly in place to hold securely. I wouldn't use these for drawing, but you certainly could if you wanted to. They'd be good for beginners, art students, or people who just like to color. I haven't tried erasing, but if they're like most other colored pencils then you likely can't erase but you could create some interesting things with an eraser to smudge or smear the colors. Overall, I love these things. They'll make a nice addition to my growing colored pencil and coloring book collection.

I think these classy pencils with their own tin will be a nice gift for my friend's birthday gift next month. Now I just need to find a butterfly adult coloring book to go with it so
