Poirot: The Complete Cases Collection (DVD)

I got the complete series. Now watch, it will come on PBS for free!

This series is legend and needs no introduction. What really surprised me is the audio/video quality. Kudos to ITV and Acorn. Widescreen (many of the streaming services still show pillar box) and 1080p. I thought I might be disappointed having got used to Blu Ray and 4k. No. These are a truly sumptuous production on all counts. If you love this Poirot you won't be disappointed.

I've only watched the first two episodes, but I know I'm going to like the entire series. David Suchet is very likable and is great playing as Poirot.

Two of the disc's have playback issues which I will attempt to fix by cleaning them. If I am unsuccessful I will ask for them to be replaced under the warranty I purchased. The case supplied is definitely sub par. It's flimsy and falls apart. I purchased a wallet type holder which is much easier to use. However the set is just what I wanted. The definitive Poirot.

To date we have only had time to view 2 episodes so seeing all of them will take some time and I hope we find a disk that has bios and more data on the series

I ran out of time to watch every episode before I could return the set. Two movies didn't play for sure. The murder of Roger Ackroyd and Cat among the pigeons. To be fair, I have watched about 80 percent of the entire set and have greatly enjoyed them. Sadly I didn't want to try to return the set because I would have to rewatch everything all over to determine whether I traded it in for a set of worse quality. This is a media problem and not an artistic problem. The stories are wonderful.

LOVE POIROT. Loved the episodes I was able to play. SADLY, so many discs are defective - stop, play, stop, play- so very frustrating. Some discs simply will not play at all. Some discs cause my JVC player to hum and vibrate. What is that about? Not entirely surprised as several other collections I purchased had same problems. YIKES!!! The manufacturers are at fault for bad discs and bad printing of discs. Shameful, really. I will be returning collection to WalMart store for full refund. The 2 large plastic cases look sound, but the leaves holding the discs are crap. Teeth holding discs break. Very frustrated buyer! Very frustrated Poirot fan!

I tracked the route when it shipped. it came to Birmingham on October 7th.(my city). Then it was sent to Miami Florida for 4 Days instead of coming to my house early. I had to wait for it to come back to Alabama. Why?? It almost got lost down there due to Hurricane Milt

DVD's did not work properly. Walmart refused to take them back at my local store. They said the item was from a 3rd party seller on THEIR own website. Will never order online again.

I was so excited to get this set. While some of the DVDs play perfectly, many are defective - the picture breaks up and freezes. I submitted a request to have the seller send me directions to return the set for a new set, but the seller never responded.
