I got this move cause I am a Dawn fan but this movie seriously is such a thriller excellent quality i loved the clearness of it and the whole plot of the movie I enjoyed it and plan to watch it again today and more and more as I stay as a Dawn fan I defiantly recommend the movie to fans of Ash and Dawn
I recently purchased this movie to add to my growing Pokemon DVD collection. Having not seen the movie before, but having watched a majority of the Diamond and Pearl series, I was very excited for this movie. The story is solid and enjoyable, and I'm not sure what everyone is talking about the voice acting. It matches the anime perfectly. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves Pokemon!
It was a very good Pokemon movie...My child loved it!
They rated this the best Pokemon movie they have seen.
Cute movie my son loved it and so did my 4 year old daughter
This movie, the tenth in the fabulous Pokemon series, has amazing animation, never-before-seen Pokemon, and (of course!) our friends Ash, May, Max and Brock modeling some excellent kid-friendly Family Values, such as Courage, Determination In The Face Of Adversity and the Value Of Friendship. The emphasis here, however, seems to be Don't Judge By Appearances or Reputations, as our heroes discover that [SPOILER ALERT!!] the villain of the piece is really trying to save them all. My one complaint concerns the cheesy rendering of Darkrai, the Lord Of Nightmares- come on, people, is this an Evil personification of nightmares, or a toothed clam with some long-haired rock star's head stuck in it's mouth?
I got a completely wrong DVD but it worked out and I eventually got it. I watched this with my friend and it's pretty much my favorite movie.
good storyline if U like the pokemon Darkrai
This film is one for Pokémon fans to be proud of for many a reason outside of one thing - voice acting. Oh yes, this film wans with wonderful animation and epic nature to call to. The issue is not the film but rather Pokémon USA's own volition of providing voice acting that has no brevity of feeling or any feeling put into it but rather that which destroys characterizations rather laconically. And that completely deters enjoyment. Why they enjoy us to buy these products is beyond us. The original Seiyuus (Japanese VAs) were great, but the dub of this... tripe. Of course, no one is in contest with hope itself, which there's nothing invalid about. Hoping that Pokémon USA will come out and concede their folly one day. Return the original VAs of 4Kids who knew the characters best to their rightful roles. Until then, while Darkrai and Palkia in this film, the battles, and the converging of the dimensions... it's all great, there's just not a lot of incentive to enjoy it due to lack of voice acting which defines characterizations. I'll say this much: Sarah Natochenny does not follow the mood of Ash's character with her voice acting. She creates her own role, and a rather strained one at that. So, is this movie enjoyable? There's a huge divvy of "enjoyment" missing, if you would indeed deem enjoyment without good voice acting so. But I apprise against buying it, without coming off as too adamant, hopefully. It's just a squandering of money when PUSA would rather watch the dub burn than care about the fans. Everything suffers from disdainful voice acting as it needs a base from which to work. It's rather oblique. All I have to say is that if PUSA enjoy churning out products like this, I'd hate to see how Movie 11 turns out. Don't buy this if you still care about the Pokémon dub.
Overall, it was a movie that I would have normally enjoyed. But due to the quality of scriptwriting, music, and first and foremost, voice acting (so unrealistic and amateur!), there was nothing special about it. I'm still a kid, but I don't be watching it again. I do not recommend it at all.
