1. Downloaded and installed the Polar transfer application. 2. Created Polar Personal Trainer account. 3. Plugged in FlowLink to USB connection 4. Set my FT7 on the FlowLink and it just worked. All the data from a weeks worth of workouts was visible on Polar Personal Trainer web site. Very cool! I have been using it to upload my workouts for about a week. This device has worked as expected without any hiccups. The sole purpose of this device is to upload date to the Polar Personal Trainer web site. It does that very well. But now that I have used it for a week or so I have to question the value add for myself, someone who trains for fitness. I am not a runner or cyclist attempting to set a new personal record. So far I haven't figured out how to use the site to help plan the type of workouts I do. Since it does log the data from the HRM (FT7) I can use that info to see how I'm progressing. But I could just as easily do that loading the data manually from the HRM into an Excel spreadsheet without the need for this roughly $40 add on. I'll continue training with the HRM to track calories and compare heart rate info for similar training sessions to track process. I just don't know if I'll continue to do that with the help of this device and the site it uploads the data to or do it some other way that does not use the FlowLink hardware. I guess what I'm trying to say is this device works very well but if you are thinking about buying it check out the Polar Personal Trainer web site and make sure it will help you achieve your fitness goals. It that site is not helpful this you do not need this device!
Great asset to track results
Computer uploads my workout data to my PolarPersonalTrainer.com in a couple of seconds. The product is very simple to install and easy to use (I run it on a Mac) and I haven't had any hick-ups during either the install or any use.
The reports and the way data is displayed is not much more than I could get from Polar FT7.
I needed to purchase this item to download my workout information. Since I already had the watch I didn't have a choice. It doesn't seem like the watch fits well on the base. I have to reposition it frequently before it will fully sync the data.
