I always love POM brand Arils—they're consistently fresh, flavorful, and even better than peeling a whole pomegranate myself. Unfortunately my recent order was substituted with Juicy Gems, and they were GROSS. Despite this, I'm still leaving a 5-star review because I won't give POM brand a bad review when the problem was caused by Walmart's substitution. Get your act together, Walmart!
Lately the pomegranate seeds have been bad and are fermented and taste and smell like alcohol. Typically they’re absolutely amazing but lately I’ve noticed on the shelves they’ve looked off and I chanced it because I’ve been craving them for a while but haven’t been buying them since they look off so please check them before purchasing to make sure they don’t look off. They haven’t had this brand in stock for a while which has been substituted for Juicy brand which I can’t seem to find online so I had to review this since the Juicy brand is what you get when you order pick up.
In good condition, but taste is a bit disappointing when you know what pomegranate seeds directly from the fruit taste like (first experience was from fruit, second was from this). Kind of sad, a little bitter. Would be fine for smoothies and the like. I'll only get it again if I don't have access to the real deal though. You get what you pay for lol.
I love POM products and Pomegranate in particular, but my issue with the product is the size! im paying $5 for a TINY bit of Pomegranate. I didn't really look at the size listed (that's MY FAULT)! I assumed that Id be getting a full pomegranate in the cup purchased! it is Far from a full fruit.....closer to a 3rd of one!!! Thats my fault for not CHECKING!
These were fermented. It’s my fault to do a pick up order for fruit, but these were bad the day I got them. I purchased two containers and both were bad. Date was still good but product went bad. There was white liquid at the bottom of the containers.
The pomegranate arils cup was spoiled. I'm not sure why this keeps happening. I have gotten rotten and spoiled stuff from this walmart when I place a order for delivery. Its unfair I'm spending my money and can't get fresh fruit or fish. You guys really need to talk to your shoppers that does the deliveries for people that order groceries online.
My wife eats these, when she can eat them. 75% of what we've gotten, she says taste "off" or "fermented" or " like wine"(but not good wine). I've tasted and smelled a few and they are definitely off. I had placed one container upside-down in the refrigerator and today went to move it. There was pomegranate juice stuck to the refrigerator shelf. Clearly they don't seal properly, and for $5, I'm done gambling on them.
The item I received was bad. the seeds were brown and slimy...you could see that easily through the package. I could actually smell they were spoiled without opening the container. these really isn't the product as much as Walmart for selling spoiled produce.
your shoppers dont look at the food they are all expired and taste tart and have a smell they are expensive and i eat them every week so that was a waste of money for me
It came in cloudy in the packaging and not this brand either. It states it’s good until the 1st of Sept, but it smells sour and has a white slimy film
