So far - so good. I have been using this rower for approx 3 weeks and it's a a sturdy rowing machine. It may not have all the bells and whistles that a $2000 rower has but it does the job I need it to do. I watch YouTube videos for rowing (there are so many )The rower has a mount and I put my iPhone in there and it holds it in place perfectly while I row. I'm not really in to exercise but needed something to get my back in shape. What I love about a rowing machine, it works the main muscles in your body all in one shot. The rower is quiet , the seat glides back %26 forth smoothly and it's pretty comfortable. I say this as a woman who unfortunately doesn't have too much cushioning in that area 😁 It doesn't take up a lot of space and it's easy to move around from room to room, if needed. The screen could use an upgrade. I like to row at the end of my day and it's usually dark out by then and the screen doesn't light up to see your strokes per minute, calorie count etc. the foot straps are velcro, and hold your feet in place while rowing. I assembled it myself, took me maybe a half hour. If you're like me and are looking for a rower to help you get some exercise in your day, I recommend this machine. If you're a hard core exercise nut and want to track every little thing on the monitor, then this machine is not for you. This only tracks - calories, strokes per minute, distance, and time. Nothing more. Also the resistance/tension only goes up to eight, which may not be enough for men and some women. For me, it's perfect. I didn't get the rowing machine to train for the Olympics, just needed %26 wanted a machine that worked the most muscle groups in one shot because I work long hours and don't have the time or patience to go to a gym and waist 2 hrs jumping from one machine to the next to get a work out in. All I know is this machine is perfect for what I wanted for. To keep me mobile and back strength, since I'm not getting any younger 😜
